Get up close to the incredible servals during an African cat experience like no other! During this intimate, behind-the-scenes encounter you'll come face to face with the servals at Werribee Open Range Zoo and find out more about them from their keepers. These slender and extremely agile cats are one of Africa's most successful hunters. With a height of 54–62cm, the Serval is the tallest of the African sall cats. The serval’s slim build features a long neck and long legs, prominent ears and a medium length tail. They are extremely athletic and adept at pouncing upon rats, mice and other rodents and birds. Visiting Werrribee Open Range Zoo's servals is an opportunity not only to marvel at these amazing animals, but also to learn about the threats to many African and native species, and how Zoos Victoria is contributing to the fight against wildlife extinction.
