Krampus originates from centuries of Pagan festivals and is by far the most unique Christmas celebration ever experienced. This two night trip to Berchtesgaden is the only way to truly experience this ancient tradition which is coupled with an amazing Christmas Market, Schnapps factory tour, salt mine tour, Apple Strudel making evening, and guides with over 10 years experience.

We will all meet outside the Starbucks coffee shop at 9:00 a.m. next to track 11 / 12 inside the Munich Main Train Station.

Itinerary

    Day 1

    Pick up in Munich at the Hauptbahnhof outside the Hotel Eden Wolf next to the Lufthansa Airport Shuttle

    Salzburg

    We arrive at 11:00 a.m. in Salzburg where we have a short city tour, time to enjoy the Christmas market, and an Apple Strudel Cooking course. We then wander back to the vehicles while enjoying the Krampus Parades of Salzburg.

    Berchtesgaden

    We leisurely return to Berchtesgaden by 8:30 p.m. where the festivities are in full swing with Krampus wandering the streets and plenty of excitement. After checking into the hotel there is plenty of time to catch a late night parade!

    Breakfast, Salt Mine Tour, Schnapps Factory Tour and Krampus introductions

    After breakfast we make our way to the Salt Mine for our guided tour

    The evening of December 6th we have free time to shop at the Christmas Markets before a dinner reservation at the HB Brewery.

    Recover, Bobsled track, and Konigsee

    We make our way to Königsee for a stroll around the lake and opportunity to see the Olympic Bobsled track before making our way back to Munich Germany.
