This tour is for the travel lovers who have got limited time bound and wants to explore all the major historical ancient places of Kathmandu as well as Namobuddha and Panauti. It covers UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu which includes Pashupatinath temple the holy place of Hindu religion, Boudanath Stupa the biggest Stupa in Nepal, Swayambhunath Stupa known as monkey temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square once the royal palace of Nepal.

Panauti is a Newari town around 32 km southeast of Kathmandu is one of the oldest towns in Nepal, with many temples dating back to the 15th Century or earlier. It proves to be a touristy heritage site with many temples, stupas and statues, with the added charm green paddy fields.

Namobuddha with old Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery is the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal and the holiest in the world. It is known as the place where the Buddha, in a previous life as a prince Namura, gave his body to a starving tigress and her cubs.

    Guided Sightseeing of Kathmandu valley

    Kathmandu Durbar Square

    Your expert English speaking tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 10:30 am with their luxurious vehicle to take you for your 7-hour sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. First, stop at Kathmandu Durbar Square. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kathmadu Durbar Sqaure is one of three Durbar Squares in Kathmandu Valley. Though a few buildings collapsed after the devastating earthquake on April 25th, 2015, you can observe the spectacular art and architecture of the ancient Malla and Shah dynasties. It is also know as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, derived from the statue of Hanuman at the entrance of ancient royal palace.

    Swayambhu Mahachaitya

    After that, head to Swayambhunath. Swayambhunath, also know as the "Monkey Temple", is situated on a small hillock on the west of Kathmandu city. It is a sacred place for Buddhist pilgrimages from all over the world. Large eyes painted on the four sides of the main stupa represents wisdom and compassion, and a dome at the base of Sutpa represents the entire world. Swayambhunath also could not escape from the devastating earthquake of April 25th, 2015, but one can still observe the art and architecture at Swayambhunath which is believed to date back to the beginning of 5th century.

    Boudhanath Stupa

    Then, head over to Boudhanath Stupa. Boudhanath is located on the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, is the largest stupa in the world and is a sacred site for Buddhist pilgrimages. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, Boudhanath is on the ancient trade route between Nepal and Tibet. The Stupa is said to entomb the remains of Kassapa Buddha. Founded by Licchivi King, Boudhanath has had minor damage caused by the earthquake on the 25th of April, 2015.

    Pashupatinath Temple

    Following your time there, head to Pashupatinath. The sacred Hindu shrine Pashupatinath is located on the bank of the Bagmati river to the eastern side of Kathmandu. Believed to be built by Supuspa Deva, a Licchivi King, Pashupatinath was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. The main temple of Pashupatinath was built using Pagoda style architecture with four main doors. The two levels of the roof are made of copper with a gold coating and they have a gold pinnacle. The inner sanctorum is the place where the main idol is placed, and the outer sanctorum is an open corridor like space. Though some of the buildings in the Pashupati area are damaged, the main building was untouched by the earthquake of April 25th, 2015 earthquake. At 5:30 pm, your sightseeing tour ends and your guide drop you off at your Hotel.

    Guided sightseeing of Panauti and Namobuddha

    Start your day trip as your expert guide picks you up from Hotel Lobby’s at 10:30 am. By 11:30 am, you will reach Panauti, your first sightseeing spot for the day. Visit Brahmayani Temple as you crosses Rosi and Punyamati rivers. You might encounter with lines of mourners making their way to the funeral Ghats. Continue sightseeing of Indreshwor temple, Unmatta Bhairav Temple. Observe various idols of Hindu god and goddess, wood carving on struts, toran around the Indreshwor temple area.

    Then drive to Namobuddha at 1:30 pm, and start your sightseeing upon reaching. The story surrounding this area goes that a little prince saw a weak and hungry tigress lying on the ground with small cubs on his hunting tour in the area. The prince saw that the tigress and her cubs were hungry but had nothing to offer immediately. Eventually he fed his own flesh and blood to this striving tiger family. That young prince was off course little Buddha. Commemorating that great story, there is a famous shrine and stone slab featuring the history on the top of hill with great panorama of Himalaya and downhill villages. At 4:30 am drive back to Kathmandu. Your tour ends as guide drops you at your Hotel.
