  Shuri Castle： It is the site of the castle and government office where the royal family that ruled Okinawa lived. It has a long history of rebuilding despite repeated loss of buildings due to war damage and fires. Located on a hill overlooking the city of Naha, visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the vermilion-lacquered buildings against the blue sky of Okinawa. The castle is home to many cultural heritage sites, so learn about Okinawan culture and history while listening to the explanations of your guide.

  Shurei-mon gate： This is the main gate of Shuri Castle, built in the Chinese architectural style. It is commonly called Shureimon because of the words "Shurei-no-kuni" written on the oblong plaque. Enjoy this spot known as one of the landmarks of Okinawa because of its beautiful design.

  Tama-udun mausoleum： It is a huge stone cemetery where successive generations of royalty have been buried. The burial customs in Okinawa at that time were different from those in mainland Japan, and the royal family buried in this cemetery were also buried in the wind. The cemetery is decorated with detailed carvings in various places, and the garden is covered with coral sand.

  Shurikinjo Stone Pavement： This is a beautiful cobblestone path that was maintained during the Ryukyu Dynasty. Most sections of the road from those days were lost due to war damage, but the cobblestone pavement has been preserved in this section as it was in those days. Take a walk in the tropical atmosphere created by the Ryukyu limestone cobblestones and stone walls.

  Restaurant Suidunchi： Located facing a stone-paved street, this restaurant offers traditional Okinawan cuisine. In addition to a wide variety of Okinawan dishes on the menu, the restaurant also has a small museum where you can learn more about Awamori and other beverages in between meals.

  Shikina-en Garden： This is the largest villa of the Ryukyu royal family and the garden attached to it. It was mainly used as a guest house for entertaining foreign emissaries. Chinese-style buildings stand in the garden, and overall, the garden incorporates Japanese-style kaiyushiki garden design, but with Okinawan originality. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through the garden, walking along bridges and other paths made of Ryukyu limestone.

  Naha City Traditional Crafts Center： This facility is dedicated to the traditional Okinawan crafts that have been handed down from the Ryukyu Kingdom period to the postwar period. Visitors can learn about traditional crafts such as bottle molds and Okinawan glass, and can even try their hand at crafts by making a reservation in advance.

  Tsuboya Yachimun Street： This is a street where pottery stores line the streets. The area has been lined with pottery since the Ryukyu Dynasty. Yachimun" is the Okinawan word for pottery. Depending on the store, you may be able to find Tsuboya-yaki and other pottery at fairly low prices.
