You will meet your skipper at Porto Mirabello. On foot, cross the pedestrian Thaon De Revel Bridge, and you will reach the port's parking area. By car, enter the port, pass the first gate, and park in the parking lot. The meeting point is on the waterfront, right in front of the fuel station.
You will meet your skipper at Porto Mirabello, the marina of La Spezia. Here you will board the boat of your choice, and start your private cruise.
You will start navigating along the Gulf of Poets, the bay where La Spezia is located, named for its brilliant sea and stunning coastline that have inspired poets over time. Along the way, you will admire a unique perspective of the coastline, with its dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and charming fishing villages.
You will admire a breathtaking view of Marola, Cadimare, Fezzano, and Le Grazie, charming fishing villages with pastel- colored houses, beautifully perched above the Gulf. Here and along the way you will have stop for swimming in the bright blue water of the Ligurian see.
You will arrive in Portovenere, a charming ancient town perched on a promontory and dominated by the Church of St. Peter. Here you will disembark to explore the town on your own, wandering through its narrow streets (locally known as caruggi), visiting the Church, and discovering the historic Doria Castle.
In front of Porto Venere, you will see from the sea the Islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, a truly beautiful archipelago part of the UNESCO Heritage.
Another highlight of the Porto Venere coastline is the Byron Grotto, a secluded rocky bay named after the famous English poet. If you choose the half-day boat tour, at this point you will begin sailing back to Mirabello Port in La Spezia.
If you choose the full-day tour, after Porto Venere, you will continue sailing towards the eastern side of the Gulf, where the medieval village of Lerici is located. Here, you will disembark to explore the town, which is dominated by the Castle of San Giorgio and offers charming views and an enchanting atmosphere. After wandering its narrow streets, you can stop for lunch at a typical Ligurian restaurant.
At the end of the day, your private skipper will take you back to the Marina of La Spezia, Porto Mirabello, where your private cruise will end.
