SureStay by Best Western Presque Isle

Very clean and quiet. Helpful & Courteous. Comfortable bed. Close to grocery shopping options. Only disappointment was that our kitchene suite had very limited cooking items. They provided one skillet to cook in although (upon request) we got dinner plates, bowls, cups & flatware. We purchased other items (and would encourage the owners to stock) can opener, spatula, measuring cup, ice cream scoop and importantly a sharp knife and vegetable peeler and cutting board for fruits, vegetables or other food prep, in addition to other cooking options (to boil pasta or make soup in larger and other type of pans, for example). Consider a colander also to drain water after boiling food. Toaster? Blender? (Many people make protein smoothies, for example). We would definitely stay again. We just think these single time investment items would further encourage guests to choose this location (since a kitchen is listed).

The location and price sucked us in.

Checked into our room after we paid for an upgrade to 2 Queen beds instead of one and found hair on the sink toilet and shower. Dead june bug on the carpet. Along the wall behind the bed was drywall powder and dust and dirt from not vacumming. The bath towels were the small floor towels that you stand on getting out of the shower. The TV was disconnected from the cable so it was not functional and had to call the front desk to fix. The headboard fell on my head which was mounted on the wall behind the bed as a separate piece. The hotel tried to blame me for hanging on to it or using force in which i informed the night person that i did not touch it and it fell under its own weight. Found that it was not mounted in the wall correctly and fell out of its shallow holes in the dry wall. The morning coffee was a light watery brown at best as i believe they dont change out the coffee regularly to keep it fresh. Which we didnt even want to eat the breakfast due to the dirtiness and lack of sanitary concerns we noticed. Even though this is probably the cheaper of hotels in the area its not worth what you pay for a room. The entire hotel staff including owner refused to talk it over with us to hear our concerns and address it. We checked out a day early and said since we did not charge you for the second night that should be more that enough. We only stayed the first night that was enough. Avoid this hotel at all cost!!!!

This hotel was nice. The grandkids enjoyed the pool. This property was in a great location to Presque Isle park, beaches, etc. Rooms were worn, dated, not the cleanest but we're comfortable and beds were comfortable.

I have been a Best Western reward member for several years and often build up points to use for a free night’s stay. I applied my points which more than covered a 1 night stay in Presque Isle. However, when i got home, i was charged $134 for the room, and my points were redeemed. Upon contacting the Best Western customer service, they said that the management in Presque Isle could not see that my points were used and won’t refund my money! I am out $134 and my points 😡.

The lobby was clean. The front desk staff isn't at the desk so you have to ring a bell, but I rang it four times before anyone showed up (at least 2 to 3 minutes between each ring). The room was clean, but my sheets were dirty with what looked like grease stains. The bathroom was as small as a cruise bathroom, yet the sink was outside the bathroom. The sink also leaked if turned on too hot and filled really fast without draining if turned on to max running. Had parking, was snowy. Didn't have breakfast there but they do serve free breakfast. I thought the place was rated non-smoking, but the room next door smoked marijuana every morning. Would not stay here again, but there is always a place for somebody.

It was a great check in. Staff was friendly!! It was quiet and comfy.

Smelled clean, staff was really nice. Would stat at this place again.

A pleasant surprise. Warm room, good continental breakfast (included), and friendly staff.

Staff was amazing and kind rooms was nice and comfy but around the toilet bowl was dirty housekeeping needs to pay better attention. Breakfast wasn’t the greatest had to microwave our eggs and sausage as they were still cold.
