Samyan Serene Hotel

This hotel was a big mistake. The smell of mold was awful. We couldn’t open the windows and when we switched on the air conditioner, the smell was even worse. As you can see on the pictures, the bathroom was not clean at all. There were ants on the floor, even when we didn’t have any food in our room. They had an air purifier but it was full of dust. There were spiders in corners of the room. Previously, we stayed in Baiyoke Sky Hotel, which was on much higher level for the same price.

Jättebra läge med 5 minuters gångavstånd till köpcenter, bankomater, restauranger och allmänna kommunikationsmedel. Mycket enkelt att ta sig till och från flygplatsen med tåg. Personalen på hotellet är mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma. Vi hyrde rum med kök och tvätt-och torktumlare.

Ett mycket bra centralt boende nära allt man kan önska sig såsom shoppingcenter, restauranger, ATM och allmänna kommunikationsmedel. Lätt att åka tåg till och från flygplatserna.

Mycket bra läget, mycket nära allmänna kommunikationer och flera köpcenter med flera restauranger och allt annat som kan behövas och önskas. Ett bra hotell att använda som bas och enkelt att tex åka kollektivt till och från flygplatserna och sevärdigheterna. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

Staff is very friendly and helpful especially staff by the name of Buffy & Kae. They helped me a lot. Really appreciate it. Location is good, just 2-3 mins walk from Sam Yan train Station. Famous temple is just beside the train station. 7-11 is less than 5 mins walk from hotel. Room is clean and spacious. Shower hot water and basin water tap is working perfectly.

- It was not much service going on, so if you need room service or options around, they don’t really have that. There’s some snack and noodle box in the reception area but that’s it.

The location is in the city center.
The MRT station is 3 minute by foot.
There are a department store and a lot of restaurant nearby.

Room is large and comfortable.
Staff is friendly and kind.

Breakfast is served as a la carte menu.
Coffee shop on a ground floor is very good.

Positives: Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was above average. Room was comfortable and clean. Negatives: Gym was under construction and not available for use. Wifi signal was not strong enough to reach the room.

I loved most things about this hotel. The staff was AMAZING, and clean as well. However, when i arrived at the hotel, the bed i slept at had a very small stain, its very faint so i didnt care much of it. But accoding to the hotel rules, they clean the sheets, linens everyday unless we ask not to. I left the sheets to be changed most days because we are Canadians and we sweat a lot in hot countries so it was only fair we wanted clean sheets. I was there 5 nights and all the nights that tiny little stain was still there, as in the sheets werent changed. I wasnt pleased with that. I didnt tell the staff mainly because i had other problems in the room, such as the power was very unreliable, most rooms needed only one cars to get the power going, we needed 2. I traveled with multiple people therefore we had extra cards, but it was such a hassle when one persom had to leave and couldnt take one of the cards because the power went out in aboit 20 seconds. So if one person was in the shower, the other person had to stay put in the room and not go anywhere even if needed. It was very inconvenient. But besides that, it was a great stay, i probably will return back here if i dont find anything better, only if i dont find anything better. Oh also, the breakfast was DELICIOUS. I had breakfast everyday mainly because it was just simply amazing. Thanks to the cook and thanks to that front desk staff too, you guys were honestly great!

安くて駅近でファラポーン駅や観光や空港のアクセスは便利でした。シーロムエリアまでは10分強ですが周囲に何もない道なのでやや不安になるかも。無料朝ごはんは美味しかったです。

建物・部屋自体はきれいで朝食も満足だったが，２日目観光から戻ると洗面台に置いていた「コンタクトケースと洗浄保存液・クレンジング・乳液・ヘアトリートメント・洗顔料」すべて無い。使い捨てタイプではなく市販の旅行用タイプのもの。問い合わせると，「確認したがない。今日から一切触れません」で終わり。後日合流の家族に日本で買い持参してもらった。なのに，チェックアウト時，子供がタオルでキャリーケースキャスターを拭いたことで300バーツ弁償。部屋にアリが多数。

This new basic hotel has spacious rooms and a pleasant staff. The cable TV had NO ENGLISH channels- only numerous Thai channels. Wi-Fi was weak ( depends on your room location) Walking distance to a couple shopping centers if you have a craving to eat out at a franchise restaurant or to go shopping. Close to the subway station. The hotel is only a 15 minute walk to Silom street for catching the BTS or for the night life. (use Google maps for short cut). The only negative comment is the stingy breakfast which was extra when I booked the room. The adjoining coffee shop acted as if eggs were expensive so rationed them out on their steam tray on the “buffet” table—pressed ham & hotdogs for the breakfast meat; cheap white bread for toast; and a couple other “token” selections. The coffee was watered down but one could pay for “real” drip coffee or a decent breakfast roll or croissant from the cafe counter. ( btw there is a 7-Eleven down the street ) I would stay at the hotel again but book a room without breakfast ( there’s a Starbucks nearby) .
