Nice place - needs more management presence
Pros:

Nice location, close to some wonderful English Heritage and National Trust properties. The hotel is a little hit & miss. Staff seem a little unengaging at times, and service a little haphazard. The room had no air conditioning and no fan available. Our room was over the kitchen so the heat was unbearable.
But we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and the towels are fluffy. Food was ok...

Cons:

No fan in room. nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom, had to put washbags on the floor. Really needs a little table in there. There didn't seem to ever be anyone in charge!

Lovely, highly recommend. Would love to stay again some time.
Pros:

The property is absolutely charming. Tastefully decorated in a lovely setting.
Breakfast was superb.
Staff were all so friendly and accommodating.

Cons:

It would be a 10 out of 10 but the room was very hot. No air conditioning. A fan was provided but in these heat waves they don’t really touch the sides. But this would not stop me staying again.

Friendly, accommodating and cheerful staff. Excellent place to stay.
Pros:

Requested an early check-in because I had to attend an event nearby. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, said they put in a note for this. Got lucky and they let me check-in few hours before their official time, no extra fees. Excellent, seamless check-in experience.

Great Location
Pros:

Location and Staff

I asked for my room to be swapped from room 6 due to the road noise. It was not a problem to swap rooms,,The staff were very helpful.

Cons:

The room, room 5, was extremely warm, yet the hallway outside my room was cool. The fan left in the room was ineffective.
Sink Tap broken and there was only a trickle of hot water from hit. Shower was fine.

Did the job for the night
Pros:

The floor boards in room 5 need sorting, especially by the bathroom, and I understand the doors need to close as fire doors but they shake the whole upstairs.

Cons:

Noisy floorboard

Banging doors

Pros and cons, quite lovely
Pros:

It is well appointed and so lovely. The staff were warm and friendly. The food was delicious. Fluffy towels, good pillows. Easy off-street parking.

Cons:

There was a group of women being super loud outside until nearly midnight. The interior doors are super creaky so it was loud all night. One of our rooms had awesome water pressure and one had no water pressure.
