This is a most unusual hotel, but in a central part of Brighton near the sea. I booked a cosy double room which was tiny. If I sat on the edge of the bed my feet would be nearly in the bathroom. But it had everything and was fine for 1 person. It was an attic room on the 4th floor accessed by a very slow lift or a lot of very narrow stairs. Quirky but quite good fun. Breakfast was very disappointing with little choice. I was told on arrival it was buffet style but actually I had to order from a limited menu and couldn't browse as would like to. Perhaps it's just not my style of hotel
The location is perfectly tucked away in a quiet end of town, while still being a short walk away from everything, with the bonus of sea views! The styling and furnishing made for a wonderfully cool and cosy atmosphere. Straight away, we were greeted warmly, and the staff could not have been more lovely! Our room was an apartment style, and for a rainy weekend by the sea, it was absolutely perfect as a place to relax in the living room. The kitchen space was so well-equipped which we made use of, especially the fantastic grind coffee pod machine. Everything was spotlessly clean and all of the bathroom toiletries were top quality. I genuinely could have lived in this as a flat. We got a great deal on a winter special stay, which made our whole weekend stay excellent value for money. Only minor things would be that breakfast isn't included and the car park opposite is pretty pricey for the weekend. Over all, I would 1000% recommend this place and I hope to stay again one day.
Such a relaxed stay in lovely surroundings. The room was ideal with lovely thoughtful touches and a little bit of luxury. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely stay again!
Absolutely loved our stay at the Artist Residence in Brighton - fantastic location, gorgeous cosy space with fabulous food and super lovely staff. Would definitely go back!
We love this hotel but this time we had issues with the shower being cold and heating pipes being very noisy all night
I travel to Brighton at least once a year on business and always stay at the Artist Residence. The people who work there have never disappointed me, they actually go out of their way to be kind, charming and simply wonderful. I would like to express a special thanks to Samuel who had been a real pleasure at check-in, check-out and chatting in between. Three cheers to whoever is running this place in the background for attracting such competent and helpful employees.
Second visit to this hotel and this was as good as the first. Really friendly and helpful staff. Relaxed feel and lovely room with loads of character. Hope to return!
The room and shower were lovely
The window covering could be a little more light proof for the morning light
The decor was very welcoming. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the bath products. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room is well suited for a family with younger children.
The staff are extremely professional, friendly and polite, the hotel is extremely clean. We enjoy our weekend break.
Lots of stairs to our room on the top floor and the lift was extremely slow but it did not spoil our stay.
I would have liked a larger room for what we paid.
Room was great, staff great, really good location, cocktails amazing; we would highly recommend as boutique hotel in Brighton
Have stayed many times and always return. Good memories. I am not that keen on hotels as they can be anonimous and formulaic but this place is relaxed with its own quirky style. And super friendly staff.
A great stay thank you. So helpful and a great apartment to stay with my lovely dog Kitty it helped me seeing my family . Thank you so much I lovev5he character .
Fantastic location and friendly staff. Love the place! Can’t wait to return! Had such a great stay.
Nothing.
We have stayed here a few times and always have such a great experience. The staff were so welcoming and professional, it really made all the difference to our stay. The drinks were fab, we love the lounge and dining areas. Breakfast was amazing and delicious. I would go there just for that if I still lived in Brighton. Highly recommend as a brilliant place to stay.
Room, location, view
Nothing
Firstly staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Being able to leave your bags before the check in time was also a massive plus.
The hotel is in a great location with lots around it and a 10-15 min walk into the main area of the city.
The room itself was amazing with a stunning bay window view over the square looking out to the i360 and the sea. Everything in the room was as you would expect and of a high standard.
We had a great stay and will be going back. Than you to the staff for making it a trouble free and enjoyable stay
I was lucky enough to temporarily live in Hove some years ago, and now I treat myself to a return visit once or twice a year, usually to catch the Cinecity film festival or a gig. I’ve tried a number of hotels in the area and this is by far the nicest. I booked a ‘tiny’ room with sea view - it was compact, but I wouldn’t describe it as ‘tiny’, especially given the clever use of space to accommodate fridge, kettle, coffee machine, glassware, and a good-sized bathroom. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get out of it in the morning! All the staff I encountered were lovely. I wished I’d booked a second night, and I definitely will next time.
I had visited an Artist Residence hotel for drinks and meals, but never stayed in one.
The hotel in Brighton looked great for a short break. I received a warm welcome on arrival, my room was stylish and comfortable, with sea view. The location is handy for exploring the town and seafront on foot.
I enjoyed drinks and breakfasts during my stay, in the artfully furnished bar and dining area. For dinner, there were restaurants offering all types of cuisine within easy reach.
Staff were helpful and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay.
