I stayed with my partner at Artist Residence Brighton for 2 nights to celebrate my 30th birthday, and had a thoroughly lovely time. We were given an upgrade on our room when we arrived, and a birthday card had been left for me in our new room! The hotel is amazing at the small details; lovely shower products, a well-stocked tea and coffee station, and clearly priced minibar with tasteful local snacks and drinks.
We had both drinks and breakfast at Blake's, the hotel's bistro/ bar downstairs, and everything we had to eat and drink was delicious. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming, and everything was clean, comfortable, and stylish. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again!
Cosy and comfy with fun decor and great location
Was quite noisy hearing guests in room next door and from on the greet space infront of the hotel. The breakfast wasn't great.
Second Artists Residence I’ve stayed in and loved both of them. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms. Clever little touches that make all the difference. And great spaces to eat, work etc. And great prices. Excellent work!
Lovely boutique hotel, big room, fun decor, wonderful staff
Really lovely room. All comforts plus a few extras. Great location. Excellent bar in the hotel with a lovely atmosphere. All staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely and warm and plenty of hot water.
Only slight issue with my room (12) was that the toilet took a while to refill after flushing so a bit noisy at night and there was occasional radiator noise.
Still a 5/5 though and would definately stay again.
Stayed at this lovely hotel before and will definitely stay again. This time I stayed in the Sea View Hall apartment and it was a roomy, welcoming space. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, would recommend
This is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The staff were fantastic, including looking after my suitcase before my check-in time and taking it to my room for me. My room was gorgeous, with perfect facilities and a great view of the sea. And I had the vegan breakfast on my last morning, which was lovely. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return.
Gorgeous apartment. Friendly staff. Fab location. Lovely and clean, the house keeping was very thorough. We will be back!
The idiosyncratically decorated rooms are lovely. Jake at reception was friendly and efficient. The lounge made for a good wine-drinking spot on a miserable and rainy evening. The location is central.
The housekeeping did not service the room because of a misunderstanding of the door tag, so towels, etc were not refreshed. The property is advertised as having sea views, which it does from some rooms but as per usual the booking.com reserved rooms had a view of the backyard of a new build.
I always seek out a hotel that is a little bit different, embraces individuality and packs the personal touch. The Artist's residence in Brighton didn't disappoint. The welcome was warm and friendly, the room was spotless and tastefully decorated (without being too corporate) and the breakfast was delicious (in fact my colleague claimed it was the best 'Full English' he'd ever had. Without doubt, I would stay here on a repeat visit to Brighton and will certainly seek out the sister hotels in other UK cities. many thanks
Great hotel, fab location and lovely staff. What’s more to ask.
The team were nothing short of wonderful! The interiors and entire experience impeccable. We can’t wait to come back again soon!x
Such a lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly warm and unique quirky rooms with lovely details and of course great art
This is a most unusual hotel, but in a central part of Brighton near the sea. I booked a cosy double room which was tiny. If I sat on the edge of the bed my feet would be nearly in the bathroom. But it had everything and was fine for 1 person. It was an attic room on the 4th floor accessed by a very slow lift or a lot of very narrow stairs. Quirky but quite good fun. Breakfast was very disappointing with little choice. I was told on arrival it was buffet style but actually I had to order from a limited menu and couldn't browse as would like to. Perhaps it's just not my style of hotel
The location is perfectly tucked away in a quiet end of town, while still being a short walk away from everything, with the bonus of sea views! The styling and furnishing made for a wonderfully cool and cosy atmosphere. Straight away, we were greeted warmly, and the staff could not have been more lovely! Our room was an apartment style, and for a rainy weekend by the sea, it was absolutely perfect as a place to relax in the living room. The kitchen space was so well-equipped which we made use of, especially the fantastic grind coffee pod machine. Everything was spotlessly clean and all of the bathroom toiletries were top quality. I genuinely could have lived in this as a flat. We got a great deal on a winter special stay, which made our whole weekend stay excellent value for money. Only minor things would be that breakfast isn't included and the car park opposite is pretty pricey for the weekend. Over all, I would 1000% recommend this place and I hope to stay again one day.
Such a relaxed stay in lovely surroundings. The room was ideal with lovely thoughtful touches and a little bit of luxury. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely stay again!
