The breakfast buffet is amazing. The hotel is well kept. The toilets are super clean. Lobby, room, pool. It’s what you would expect for a 5 star premium hotel. Loved it! The staff are friendly and greet you with a smile every day.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Meru! The property is stunning and the staff very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the spa was very relaxing. The rooms were huge and well equipped.
Small improvements could be adding entertainment for guests at night, more shade around the pool as we were repeatedly told to put down the umbrellas due to the wind and improving the quality of the children’s meals at the restaurant.
The service from staff was very good and we liked the coffee machine.
The amazing selection of food for breakfast.
The pillows were uncomfortable. They appeared very fluffy at first but once you lie on them they go rock hard.
The floors in room 3322 were very creaky and in need of maintenance. We much preferred the garden view room and layout from our last stay in May ‘25.
The couples massage we had in your beautiful wellness centre was very ordinary.
The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a peaceful atmosphere just steps away from the beach. The room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful sunrise view over the sea.
The location is very convenient, close to various restaurants and easily walkable. Our kids especially enjoyed the cycling activities and the well-designed swimming areas. The staff were warm and attentive, and the iconic lobby gives a very special first impression. Would definitely love to return.

Only one pool for kids, wasn’t a lot for the size of the premises.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated, well maintained and clean.
The only but is the signage and paths don’t always make much sense and our kids got disoriented a few times.

We have visited Bali many times over the past 20 years, and have particularly fallen in love with Sanur. We've spent the last 5days at The Meru Sanur and then transferred to the sister hotel The Bali Beach Hotel for a further 5days...we have absolutely loved our stay at both these stylish, well located beach hotels, there are many fabulous restaurants and cafes and the lcon mall within walking distance. The pool, fitness centre as well as the breakfast are all amazing. The service at both hotels has been superb and a particular mention and shout out to Aris who has gone above and beyond in making our experience particularly memorable...thank you Aris, you are a valuable member of staff at this hotel!
Cannot fault anything except to suggest that
Perhaps some seating at the outside lobby while waiting for a taxi would be more comfortable than standing or sitting in the steps!
We stay at a lot of hotels, and my husband does a stellar job of finding interesting places on our travels. However, the Meru at Sanur Beach, Bali, is an architectural marvel. I love all of the wood, water elements, landscaping, and clean lines. It is somehow both innovative and blends with more traditional design. It all very calming. These photos are only glimpse.
Everything exceeded expectations. No complaints.
