Fijne setting aan het strand, uit de drukte van het stadje. Heerlijk comfortabele kamer.
Pros:

Rust, ruime gezinskamer, volop ruimte om te relaxen. Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame staff.

Plage tranquille à 2 pas de l’action d’Arugam bay
Les huttes sont charmantes et on entend la mer
La clim fonctionne très bien

L’endroit manque d’entretien
Les chaises de plages sont en mauvais état
N’avons pas mangé au restaurant
La chambre/salle de bain n’est pas très propre
Des petits vers morts tombent du plafond
Aucun service de chambre malgré un séjour de 5 nuits, par contre, si on demande par exemple de vider les poubelles, ce sera fait
Visite d’une souris en pleine nuit, mais avions laissé un paquet de biscuits ouverts donc en partie notre erreur, ne pas laisser de nourriture/paquets de craquelins ouverts (tout mettre au frigo)

Lage direkt am Meer, großes Zimmer, Personal war beim Auschecken besonders kulant, weil wir wegen eines kranken Kindes etwas länger bleiben mussten

Cons:

Badezimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht ganz sauber, Restaurant wenig einladend...wir waren immer woanders essen

Not clean and Overpriced
Pros:

The view and area were very nice. It was good to have a ceiling fan and air conditioning due to the heat. Also, the wifi was very fast.

Cons:

There was a bad smell in the room coming from the bathroom which was not fully separated by the room. Generally the room was not very clean. There were some stains on the new towels when we arrived. the bathroom was not comfortable and very dirty too. The price we paid for the room was way too much for what you get.

The food prices of breakfast and any meal you will eat are a total scam, which they ask you to pay in cash just before leaving. We were not informed of how much the breakfast (simple omelettes and coffee) and 1 dinner would cost, but it ended up being half of the total cost of our hotel stay just for the food... The dinner itself was mentioned to us as seafood, but in fact they did not even ask us our budget or what we would like to eat. they just brought food on our table (which we didn't even finish because it was too much) this was just decided for us and then expected that we pay it.

This last part had us leave with a sour attitude as the rest of the stay was fine.

If you book here do not eat at the restaurant as they will try to scam you into taking their inflated pricing.

La ubicacion es excelente. En su inicio debió ser maravilloso pero el mantenimiento brilla por su ausencia y es un desastre. Sino sería un sitio estupendo. Pero no lo recomiendo.

Cons:

La falta de mantenimiento es extraordinaria. Las tumbonas rotas por ejemplo, las sillas de exteriores sucias, ... En la habitación nos caían insectos del techo y no tenían mosquiteras para la habitación familiar... El potencial es enórme porque el sitio es muy bonito, pero por ahora no lo recomiendo.

Really nice stay at Royal Beach! Great location right next to the beach, lovely cottages, and a very relaxing atmosphere. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy the coast. Would happily stay again!

Cons:

The place has a lot of potential and the cottages are lovely, but during our stay it still felt unfinished. There was ongoing construction and maintenance work, and facilities like the restaurant were not operating yet. Once everything is completed, it could become a really great place to stay.

Perfect spot!
Pros:

The most perfect location - right on the beach!! Close to restaurants,
Ali the chef done us a lovely breakfast, and fresh fish meal one evening!

We were the only people staying at the property, due to the war in Middle East, so it was very very quiet!

Cons:

Parties on the beach that started at midnight until 3am! Would be my only complaint - which is out of their hands, but wasn’t ideal when going on a safari at 5am!
