Pros:

Het uitzicht.

Cons:

Bij Royal Beach verbleven we twee nachten. De ontvangst voelde in eerste instantie vriendelijk en we werden geholpen met de tassen na een lange tuktuk-rit. We kregen meteen de vraag of we wilden dineren en arrack wilden proberen. Als ervaren reizigers laten wij ons meestal niet zomaar overrompelen, maar de medewerker speelde dit heel handig, waardoor we toch instemden.

Later bleek dat we voor zowel het diner als de arrack veel te veel hadden betaald. De medewerker had bovendien aangegeven geen kosten voor het ophalen in rekening te brengen, maar we kregen geen wisselgeld terug. Dit voelde niet eerlijk.

We waren de enige gasten in het resort (vijf huisjes) en ’s avonds vertrekt de medewerker, waardoor je volledig alleen op het terrein bent. Wij zijn niet snel bang, maar als vrouw alleen had ik dit zeker niet prettig gevonden.

Het resort zelf oogde onverzorgd, de wifi werkte slecht en onze reisstekker paste niet in het stopcontact doordat je het knopje dat het stopcontact activeert indrukt. Dit is opgelost met een andere stekker vanuit de accommodatie, maar het roept vragen op als alle huisjes vol zouden zitten.

Tot slot: ik kan niet alles benoemen omdat ik de medewerker hierop heb aangesproken en heb beloofd bepaalde details niet te delen. Al met al was ons verblijf helaas een tegenvaller, vooral door het onprettige gevoel dat dit alles gaf.

Great Beachfront Stay – Value for Money
Pros:

The location is great. This is a beachfront hotel. We visited during the off-season. It was a nice and calm place. Highly recommended. Value for money.

Enttäuschend und nicht zu empfehlen.
Pros:

Die Lage ist direkt am Meer und von außen sieht die Anlage auch wunderschön aus. Der Strand ist nur wenige Meter entfernt.
Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, immer hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend.
Wir waren Ende Okt da und hatten sehr viel Glück mit schönem Wetter.

Cons:

Für den Preis ist die Unterkunft nicht zu empfehlen. Für das Preisniveau haben wird deutlich mehr erwartet. Diese Qualität bekommt man überall anders für 20 EUR die Nacht.
Es sieht zwar alles schön aus, aber die Bungalows sind nicht wirklich gut konstruiert worden.

Wir wollten eigentlich direkt am ersten Tag wieder abreisen. Aber das Personal hat uns versichert, dass alles sauber ist. Nachdem jedoch abends ca 20-30 Kakerlaken im Zimmer unterwegs waren, waren wir gezwungen in einer Nacht und Nebelaktion ein neues Hotel zu beziehen. Dort ist alles super und kostet nur die Hälfte.
Eine Erstattung für die zweite Nacht, die wir nicht in der Unterkunft verbringen konnten, wurde nicht gewährt. Entsprechend wütend und enttäuscht sind wir.

Fantastisch verblijf gehad in het paradijs van Royal Beach
Pros:

Wat hebben wij een prachtig verblijf gehad hier in Royal Beach. Zojuist vertrokken, maar ik kon niet ophouden foto’s te maken van de idyllische ligging van dit paradijsje recht aan de zee. ‘s avonds slaap je met de geluiden van de golven op de achtergrond, om ‘s ochtends direct vanuit bed de zee in te kunnen stappen. De cabins zijn van alle gemakken voorzien, airco, twee (!) douches en heel erg schoon. Daarnaast is de eigenaar Jaleel ongelofelijk behulpzaam en staat altijd voor je klaar om je tot dienst te zijn. Ontzettend gastvrij! Voor iedereen die nog twijfelt: zeker hierheen gaan, paradijs gegarandeerd.

Herrliche Lage, Zimmer niemals 5 Sterne wert!
Pros:

Besonders gefallen hat uns die Lage. Direkt am Strand. Das Meeresrauschen ist deutlich zu hören.

Cons:

Gemäss Booking 5 Sterne?? Fakt: kein Safe, kein Kühlschrank, Badezimmer bedarf einer Rennovation. Schlecht isoliert (Geräusche und Klima). Flecken und Haare auf Betdecke. Kakerlaken im Badezimmer. Etc….

Wunderschönen Lage direkt am Strand und im Zentrum, schöne Anlage
Pros:

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Lage ist phantastisch direkt am Strand, 3 Min zur Hauptstraße mit vielen Restaurants und Geschäften. Auch am Strand gibt es viele schöne Restaurants.
Das Familienbungalow ist geräumig, die Betten bequem.

Cons:

Es gibt gar keine Schränke zum Ablegen der Kleidung und die Zimmer werden während des Aufenthaltes nicht gereinigt.

Great place
Pros:

It’s a well built place with great amenities at the main Arugambay area. The beach is kept clean and the staff was quite friendly and kind.

Cons:

I found the floors somewhat sticky. The tap water was salty but idk if this is a fault of the place or the area itself. Anyway, nothing too crazy to complain about :)
