Properes kleines Hotel in Elmshorn für Nachteulen
Pros:

Bei dem pompösen Namen hatte ich eine verratzte Schlafstelle erwartet, aber Hotel Royal ist ein properes kleines Hotel am Rande der Innenstadt von Elmshorn. Nicht direkt zentral, aber vom Bahnhof aus immer noch gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Zimmer moderner Standard, gut in Schuss und sehr sauber. Empfang und Service durch das Personal absolut Spitzenklasse. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auch erstklassig.

Cons:

Schlimmster Nachteil ist der Club direkt nebenan, der bis Mitternacht mit dröhnenden Beats die ganze Umgebung erschüttert. Nach Ende der Musik noch eine halbe Stunde lautstarke Verabschiedung der Beteiligten (Gröhlen, Kreischen, Autotüren knallen), aber dann ist es sehr ruhig. Keine Schuld der Hotelbetreiber natürlich, aber für Leute, die um acht Schlafen gehen wollen vielleicht nicht so gut geeignet. Im Sanitärbereich ist die Toilettenschüssel deutlich zu dicht an der Wand angebracht, was zu absurden Verrenkungen beim 'Geschäft' zwingt.

Pros:

Einen besonderen Dank an Olga im Restaurant. Ich weiß nicht wann ich das letzte mal so ein tolles klassisches Essen hatte. Und hätte Olga nicht aufgepasst hätten wir kein Frühstück gehabt (ich habe vergessen zu buchen).

Für Geschäftsreisende super!
Pros:

Hervorragendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, ruhige Lage, sehr freundliches Personal.

Cons:

Sehr enges Badezimmer mit wenig Platz an und auf der Toilette. Eher überschaubares Frühstücksbuffet, aber noch in Ordnung.

Steckdose war nicht befestigt und somit ein großer Gefahrenpunkt für uns, Türklinke fiel heraus, Birnen in beiden Nachttischlampen fehlten, Föhn war nicht vorhanden, TV war nicht programmiert, Handtuch war mit Kosmetika verdreckt,
es war nur ein Bett bezogen auf alles wurde Herr Haschemi hingewiesen und er versprach es abzustellen, was nur teilweise geschah. Die Sicherheitsrelevanten Dinge wie zB. die Steckdose blieben unerledigt. Auf eine versprochene Rückerstattung warte ich noch heute.
