Nice hotel, very central and well decorated
Pros:

Very nice spacious rooms, very well decorated and clean. Fantastic restaurant on the rooftop. Excellent location for visiting the souq, just a throw away from Bab al Bahrein.

Cons:

The room had no view whatsoever, the window basically faced a wall. While there is a small pool on the rooftop, it is literally adjacent to the restaurant and there is no space around it, so it is not very convenient, nor appealing for taking a plunge or sunbathing. There is no gym, sauna, etc.

Vakkert hotell med sentral beliggenhet. Nydelig restaurant på taket, vakkert dekorert. Svært smakfull innredning over hele hotellet, fantastisk service i alle ledd. Anbefales på det varmeste!

Charming, unique small hotel with lovely decor and very sweet staff
Pros:

We have loved staying at the Merchant House on a number of occasions and it has maintained its standards beautifully. I love breakfast outside on the balcony, the charming staff in the restaurant, the clever bedrooms and the wonderful art and photography everywhere. Such a treat.

Cons:

We could hear the prayer call very loudly in the night.
