Parking for guests of the Rydges Wellington Airport is available in the Wellington Airport multi-level car park building on levels 2 to 7 at a rate of $30.00 per overnight stay. The Wellington Airport car park building is located adjacent to the hotel. Upon entering the car parking building, you will be required to take a ticket. Please present this ticket to Hotel Reception for validation prior to exit.

If you do not validate your ticket at Hotel Reception prior to exit, standard Wellington Airport car park pricing applies. Hotel staff have no way of knowing if you have parked your car in the car park so cannot remind you to validate this ticket. There is no way to reverse this process once started.

It was convienient but far to expensive for the service and treatmemt.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

Things where broken in our room
The bathroom was far to small.
The person at the front desk couldnt be understood clearly.
We were over charged with our parking
We were told $15.00 for the night which was taken out of our account, we also had to pay an extra $48.00

Easy stay for early morning flight

I would only stay here again if I had a very early flight and had no choice. The hotel resembles a nice looking car-but
Pros:

Its proximity to the airport. The rooms and ambience are good, but mask many issues.

Cons:

1. Arrived at the airport at 9.30pm-no food-no room service. Mini bar empty and food/snacks must be arranged at reception.
2. The phone in my room didn’t work and then I tried phoning reception from the website and got no answer. Then had to go to reception to put in the order. Staff member came to room with my snacks and drinks and tried, unsuccessfully to fix the phone.
3. I had a very bad night sneezing. The bed was soft and the pillows were either too hard or way too soft.
4. The reason for my sneezing and being congested all night was very evident as my MacBook Air was covered in dust by the morning.
5. The shower didn’t leak for me as many reviews indicate online-but it did leak from the inadequately sized wash basin.
6. The breakfast. I chose the continental as $35NZ seemed high. Discovered it was $30NZ for continental and you have to pay extra for a barista coffee (which was excellent). Food quality at breakfast very sub par for the price. Fruit and croissants very sub par. The hot food did not look appetising. I was not surprised the breakfast room was empty.
7. I attempted to bring some of these points to the attention of the duty morning receptionist-he just looked at me with disdain.

Pros:

When I originally booked the website stated that the rate included breakfast, but when I completed the booking the confirmation omitted the breakfast but the rate remained the same.
Also, I had an envelope delivered for me to collect on check in. There appeared to be no system to accommodate this hence it took some time for the staff to locate the envelope.

Cons:

Make it clear breakfast was no longer included.
Have a system for any items being stored for guests to collect at check in.

Pros:

Convenience of being able to relax before getting to flight. Especially good when flight was cancelled & had to extend stay & keep the same room

Cons:

Price went up for additional night, after I had to rebook when flight was cancelled,even when staying in the same room which did not require servicing

Great location—Hotel connected to Wellington airport.
Pros:

Location. We got stuck here for 3 nights due to gale force rain & wind and cancelled plane flights. Originally had one night reservation. Felt lucky to be able to book two more nights. Staff helpful. Food good. Rooms clean, quiet, & comfortable.

Perfect hotel for early morning flightr
Pros:

We had an over night stay as our flight was early in the morning and this hotel is perfect for early morning flights down the lift and you are at check in.
The room is very quiet and relaxing, lovely decor.

Cons:

There is nothing I can fault with this hotel

A real delight to find such a comfortable and elegant hotel room after a long stretch of travel.
Pros:

The room was great - spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. Room service was excellent when requested using the QR code which was a new experience and very easy.

Cons:

The gym is a bit basic but probably not hugely important to most people. Perhaps good if there were reciprocal rights with the Rydges in the CBD. Bit difficult to find the hairdryer without having read the info pack - so good if there was a little note in the bathroom stating where it was.
