savnet "sprø-stekt" bacon... og gjerne en te-kanne til teen. Middagen var litt utfordrende for en som er allergisk mot sjømat og nøtter. Jeg spiste hamburger, som var god- men siden jeg ikke kunne ha majones- hadde det vært fint å fått litt rømme istedenfor. Å ta bort noe er fint, men gjerne erstatte det med noe annet...

utrolig varmt rom, svært lite informasjon om spa, middag og frokost. kun 2 tilgjengelige stikkontakter på rommet og ingen på badet. dusjen va grei, men opplevde at vannet plutselig ble kaldt også varmt i noen sekunder deretter iskaldt. mye tull me utsjekk ettersom de ikke fikk informasjon om at vi hadde betalt oppholdet via booking.com, og ba oss da betale i resepsjonen. fikk følelsen av at hvis du skulle ha en ok opplevelse var du nødt til å bruke mye penger på både rom og spa.

A real disappointment

We chose to celebrate my 30th birthday at Sola Spa Hotel together with my husband and son. Online, the hotel looked very luxurious, and judging by the price, we expected a first-class experience.

The first thing that greeted us was a long queue at check-in, which didn’t bother us too much. However, there was considerable confusion about where our room was located, which added unnecessary stress to what was supposed to be a relaxing and luxurious stay.

The room itself was okay. I’m quite certain we did not book the cheapest package, yet we were given a rather disappointing room with a poor view. It was reasonably clean and the beds were comfortable, which we appreciated.

The biggest disappointment was the food. We had been sold what was described as a four-course dinner, but it turned out to be a buffet. Regardless of how skilled the chefs may be, a buffet is not what you expect when booking a package like this. We were extremely disappointed.

The pool and spa area were decent, but the large swimming pool had visible marks from dirt or algae, which made it feel less clean than expected. The information about when children were allowed in the spa area could also have been communicated more clearly. While we fully understand and respect that the hotel has such rules, clearer information in advance would have made planning much easier.

Breakfast the next morning was extremely crowded. We were unable to find a table and eventually had to leave without eating, which was very disappointing.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience, especially considering the impression the hotel gives online and the price we paid. At one point, we were honestly considering asking for a partial refund. We will not be booking this hotel again and would not recommend it to others.

Returning again

It's a nice hotel to return to. Beautifully located by the Sola strand (beach). Had a nice and clean room with sea view, but with no work desk. Great to have some time out in the spa. Will be back.

Det er fin beliggenhet, men det kan da ikke være alt vi betaler for?

Gamle rom som burde pusses opp for lenge siden. «Superior» rom som vi bestilte var egentlig bare et rullestol rom, uten noe annet ekstra en litt mer plass.

Great atmosphere, service needs improvement
Pros:

Have been here often as the hotel has great atmosphere and friendly staff. This time the service during dinner was way under par with long waiting times between courses (they forgot us) and not serving the four of us at the same time. When the last person got served, the others were more or less finished. Note: This was not a busy day and the menu was fixed.

Location great, staff fantastic but rooms need maintenance ☹
Pros:

We had to change room as the first room we received the window did not lock and would open and close when we exit the room. In addition , the floor heating, in the bathroom, did not work so this room was very cold.
All the staff were great and helpful.
