good home base for a few days
Pros:

Stayed here many times during the winter for cross country skiing. Rooms are good sized, beds are comfy, pillows are good. Location is good right on main street in Ashland. Breakfasts are average but there is a good coffee shop and a bakery one block away where you can get something better. Kitchenette is convenient as well. This is my go-to place -and by far the best place to stay in Ashland.

Cozy rest stop on Lake Superior’s south shore
Pros:

A wonderful place. I got my steps in on Main Street and was well rested to see the Ice Caves at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore on Lake Superior.

IT WAS OK

THE AM STAFF WAS PLEASANT.

Cons:

The check in process was... painful! I had made the reservation and then had to do the precheck in, well apparently that didn't show up in the system so I had to do that all over at the arrival time. The receptionist was not thrilled to be there! We picked up the phone for service like it stated, we waited on the phone close to 15 minutes before anyone came to the front. There was no information given at all on breakfast check in time or check out time or even what direction the elevator was or where to go etc.. those were all things we had to figure out on our own. The bed was not comfortable. Room was clean! Temperature was comfortable. Lights were on once we entered room. You could hear every single car that went past too. We didn't use many amenities, we were only there a short time. Location- convenient just loud. Staff in the AM was much more enjoyable to be around.

Home away from home
Pros:

We stayed, 2 adults and a dog, in connection to a visit to the hospital emergency room in Ashland, WI. The space was well-kept and very clean. This was a return visit to the property, and we will stay again.

Pros:

Nice, clean hotel in Ashland. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend staying at this hotel again. Rooms are well kept up and the hotel is clean and looks very nice.
