Very overpriced and reception ordered cab was 30 minutes late and dropped me at wrong train station.
Pros:

Breakfast was average, breakfast staff were helpful

Cons:

Hotel was in complete darkness when I arrived and sleepy staff member was very average with communication. The place was deserted

Pros:

The staff were extremely helpful and the food was very good. Also very nice pool.

Isolated hotel. Extremely tired. Rickity stairs around pool, not safe. Disappointed with side sea view room.
Pros:

The property had a pool. It was opposite a roti cafe!

Cons:

The hotel is very tired.
Our kettle didn’t work I fridge broke the air conditioning went down too.
Sliding balcony doors did not slide. All door handles and exposed metal, once new now rusted and pitting.
Young staff member tried his best but there just wasn’t enough quality resources for him to improve the experience.
Actual manager seemed uninterested to make things better without a hard push.

Pros:

All good. Nice, big, clean room. Late check-in after midnight no problem.
Breakfast local and American. Very friendly stuff. Some good music from the Hotelbar.
I would come back.

The grass is well kept and pool is clean.. gardener is very friendly and will pick you a coconut from the garden if you ask..

Well it’s says when we booked early check in and late check out is available. How ever we arrived very early 8:30 am! I messaged the night prior to confirm early check in and when we where on route we got a response saying it’s not possible or we should pay by the hour for time before 2pm as early check in is impossible… Interesting as there was not one person in the hotel, eventually I agreed to pay for 2 nights if we could check in on arrival and check out 8pm the next night… again with an empty hotel… I have stayed in many hotels all over and simply the attitude around this was a bit 🤏 of putting…

The shower takes very long to get hot around 7-10 minutes.. hotel is incredibly run down, through out staff are terribly trained and food is terrible.

I can’t see one thing they getting right, beach is not usable waves would kill you!! They break on a wall of rocks.. no ways you can swim..

Besides being run down every window is dirty, every passage dirty, ac does not work in restaurant… and staff phone you in the morning night and early to wake you up for breakfast as they serve you on there schedule not yours.

All and all I would say it’s pretty bad! I would not bother..

The pool is great; our sea view rooms were comfy and the aircon good. Breakfast good

Cons:

We went in very low season and so it was very sparsely staffed; sometimes it felt like no one was there.

The bridge to the pool and loungers need mending; the place felt a bit tired but I think because off-season

Pros:

Wifi was fine. Hot water. Pool is really nice and lifeguard Marcus makes his everything that you can enjoy your stay!

Cons:

Room was a bit outdated and balcany was dirty. It’s hard to get a tuctuc drive to Colombo.

Excellent budget friendly hotel where you are made to feel welcomed!
Pros:

If you are traveling on a budget this little hotel is perfect. It’s only 30 minutes by car to the capital Columbo and 30 minutes to the airport. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The food is plentiful and lovely. The beds were comfortable and the AC was very much welcomed in the hot days! Marcus, the pool attendant, was always helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble.

Its a beautiful hotel, clean rooms, nice pool, good food, nice atmosphere and excellent service. The service at Saprin is something extra. The manager Bernard, and the hotel team, helped us with everything we needed, both during and after our visit.

Lovely small hotel, close to the airport - clean and modern.
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel, very modern with welcoming staff. It is much nicer than your average ‘close to the airport, the hotel. We could have happily stayed several nights. We were late for breakfast and the lovely staff accommodated this without a murmur and gave us fruit, omelette, coffee and toast - perfect.
The room was a good size, very nice bathroom and comfy bed. The swimming pool is superb and appeared spotless.

Cons:

It’s really worth booking a sea view room. We arrived late and only rooms facing the busy road were still available. This meant quite a lot of traffic noise but we got it for a bargain price so really could not complain.
