Pros:

The hotel location was really nice, a lot of good restaurants nearby and easy to get everywhere.
The view from the rooftop and pool was lovely.

Pros:

Ontbijt was goed. De borrelhapjes bij de rooftopbar ook.

Cons:

veel herrie, was het niet van de enorme hoeveelheid moskeeën dan was het wel van een motorgang die er 's avonds om 11 uur aankwam en die geluidsversterkers op hun motoren hadden gemaakt om nog meer herrie te maken. Ze gaven heel veel en langdurig gas, we lagen werkelijk te schudden in ons bed, een uur lang! Verder hebben we er ook het diner gebruikt: dat viel zwaar tegen. Goed dat we er maar 2 x één nachtje verbleven: dat was meer dan genoeg.

There is no water hose in the toilet.
The water temperature in the shower suddenly becomes hot and cannot be adjusted to cold.

Cons:

I had a non-smoking room but elevators smelled of smoke and smoking around pool area. The rooms could use some freshening up - dirty walls and showers. Also showerhead in room needs fixing. Sprays water from cord. Mosque very loud nearby (windows don’t block out noise). Nice staff but I won’t be staying there again.

A nice homey hotel. Perfect for family.
Pros:

Delicious food, great variety for breakfast, and Chef Dedi cooked wonderful meal for our family dinners at the restaurant.
A very nice massage at the hotel spa, very friendly staff, comfy bed and spacious room, (got room 702), nice swimming pool, roof top cafe, and on top of all, it's very good value for the price.

Thank you for Ms.Adel at reception who did her best to accommodate my needs during our stay. Thank you to all staff at Maxone Balikpapan for your hospitality. Really recommend hotel if you visit Balikpapan.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Balikpapan
Pros:

Lovely roof top space with views of Balikpapan. All staff were friendly and helpful. Loads of options for breakfast, and for other meals in the main restaurant. Rooms are large with comfy beds and good Smart TV. I requested non-smoking room & was able to get one.

Cons:

Yes the rooms could do with a refresh if you look closely but they are absolutely fine, especially for the price. Twice I ordered a meal that shouldn’t have meat in it and it arrived with meat, so they just need to be more careful with this
