The level of service was fantastic - the staff at all grades made a real effort to get to know us and accommodate our requests (interconnecting rooms, late check outs etc.).
The rooftop pool is incredible, all the food we had was superb and great value and the beach club is a real hidden gem - the lifeguard was incredible with the kids!
Nothing really, you just need to be prepared to get transport to most places but tuk tuks are readily available and good fun.

We had a wonderful stay at Marino Beach Colombo to celebrate our anniversary, and it was truly a memorable experience.
From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The rooms were luxurious, beautifully maintained, very clean, and equipped with all the facilities we needed.
A special thank you to the hotel for the lovely complimentary anniversary cake. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our celebration even more special.
We really enjoyed the infinity pool, the buffet, and the Marino Mall experience. The City Tour was also a fantastic experience. A special appreciation goes to Mr. Lahiru, our guide, who did an excellent job and guided us very well throughout the tour.
From check-in to check-out, all the staff members were kind, helpful, and professional. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay.
My go-to hotel in Colombo! ❤️ Marino Beach never disappoints. Comfortable rooms, amazing ocean view at the balcony, great service, and awesome atmosphere. My 3rd time staying there, and as always, such a quiet and comfortable stay. Exactly what I needed and I’ll gladly keep coming back!
A variety of food for breakfast which is a good mix. Rooftop pool. hot tub and jacuzzi were amazing with the view! Similar to singapore but a smaller version. Rooms and service were good. One of the few places which have in room dining and all night! Will be back with kids as it is worth!

Breakfast fantastic choice, perfect location very central, amenities outstanding amazing roof top pool that is not overcrowded with plenty of sun beds
But what makes this truly special are the staff, incredibly friendly hospitable and go the extra mile to make you feel special

My husband, teenage daughter and myself enjoyed a 2 night stay at the end of our 4 week tour of Sri Lanka.
+ beds were comfortable
+ roof top area was unique with an incredible pool and views
+ the attached shopping mall was ideal for last minute gifts and entertainment - 9D cinema and VR machines
+ Laundry service was excellent - although pricey (to be expected)
+ Room was practical with plenty of space, chairs for relaxation, a fridge, iron, robes etc
+ staff were eager to help and interact - almost too much so. Each time we came out of the lift, we were greeted and asked how could we be helped.
+ staff at the beach lounge were incredible - relaxed, friendly and we witnessed them playing sandcastles with young children!
- the bathroom was a little rundown and in need of a refurb.
- the glass doors for the toilet and shower were confusing (when tired) and unnecessary.
- sometimes it felt like staff were over attentive when we just wanted to be left alone!

This was my second stay at the hotel, and I had a very pleasant experience with my partner. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Colombo and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The overall service and facilities were excellent. However, the quality and selection of some dinner items could be improved. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.
