Hotel Holiday Hill

the pictures of this property is FAKE. Real property is dirty, not safe, facilities not existent. Didn't even have soap, towels, etc (essential you would expect is not provided).

The rooms are poorly maintained with webs all around. The furniture in the rooms gives an impression of 1 star hotel. I don't know how it is 4 star. The food at the restaurant is good though.
For the price I paid for the hotel, this was a terrible deal.

Was in the best location to walk to many sites, all the shops and restaurants.

reception guy was messing that he didnot recieve our booking he dont know how to check and he was saying this is not same hotel how can he decline our booking confirmation number , room hot water kettle was not working

Bokade ”Superior room” till högre kostnad men rummet var otroligt smutsigt och ostädat. Smutsiga lakan i sängen, jätte smutsigt gammalt täcke. Badrummet var otroligt ofräscht med rostiga hyllor, trasigt golv mm. Bad personalen byta lakan medans vi gick iväg en sväng men inget var gjort när vi kom tillbaka.
Bytte hotell direkt för att slippa sova i det rummet, trots att rummet redan var betalt.

We stayed for 4 nights, above avg rooms but good view from the room with balcony east facing. Great value for your money. Food was also very good again with great quantity and quality and economical. Staff was also very acommodative. Wonderful stay. They have parking available for upto 6 cars and the market is just 2 mins by car

The staff was very professional. And the hotel provides good food and a very comfortable stay. Amazing view of the valley and Mountains is the bonus points to stay here.

I like stay at holiday hills, location is very close to meclo market. Staff was very good , food was amazing.. wonderful view from room, special thanks to Miss kajal for guiding us. She was very polite. My parents and kids enjoyed a stay here. Really very nice stay.

We stayed in room number 101. And after a night the bathroom started smelling very badly that it was impossible for us to stay any longer in the room.
Everything else was acceptable.
Roof top cafe have a good taste.

Wasn't the greatest experience but it ticked the boxes. The biggest issue was that the bed did not feel clean. We slept on top of the duvet and put our own pillowcases on the pillows as we did not want to sleep in the bed.
We didn't eat at the restaurant as we wanted to experience the food in town, but it was very outdated and not hugely appealing.

The staff were helpful though - they helped carry bags, answered questions and arranged scooter rental for us.

Unfortunately we won't stay here again due to the cleanliness of the bed.

Unfortunately as always, don’t trust the images that they display. The room we booked looked nothing like the images, nor did the restaurant look like the images.

The bedding was stained, cockroaches in our room, the floor and skirting boards looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time and the bathroom was just as bad. No aircon in our room - only a fan and no housekeeping, we stayed 3 nights.

Overall a very unpleasant stay and chose to sleep on top of the bedding.

The hotel is situated just at the beginning of McLeod town, and great walking distance to the local market. They also wanted to charge us for someone else’s food order at check out.

I booked here for 3 nights ended up staying for 12. Some top tips, book and pay online for the best prices, staff were never able to get close to the prices I was paying on booking.com or agoda. If you are staying in the rainy season and you need to save some money, don't bother paying extra for a view as the hotel is in the clouds most of the time. Out of rainy season if you can afford the extra then the views are spectacular. My room bed was very comfortable but there was a lot of noise from the street outside, the hill seems to be a popular spot for boys on motorbikes with sawn off exhausts!! Othr than that the location is good. Everywhere is on a hill in MacLeodganj and this hotel is no exception. The room had everything I needed and the wifi was good. The staff were very nice but not as accommodating as is usual in India but maybe that was down to the language barrier.

Not worth the 8000 per night paid for their best room.

Room is spacious. Views are ok. We were given lower floor room and hence the view was partially blocked by trees. Views are better from higher floor, as can be seen from dining area - but still not so great. I found the views to be better from Naddi area.

Staff in general was polite and helpful. Service was prompt.
Feedback was taken in and actioned - on things in their immediate control, e.g. cleaning washroom, breakfast options.

Location is good - close to the market, but there are other hotels also available closer to the market. This one has very steep path for part of the way - possible but difficult to walk.

Furniture is old and damaged. Towels are old and stained. Mats and dustbins are dirty. No face/hand towels provided. MakeMyTrip lists shower cap, slippers, and mini fridge under room amenities - but none of them were provided.

Postion of the hangers in bathroom is totally misplaced - just above the hair dryer. Toilet paper was almost over when we reached and we had to call to get a new one. Toilet was dirty. Next day, when complained about the toilet, it was cleaned.

For breakfast, there is no buffet. You have to order, then they prepare. Spent one hour (8-9 AM for breakfast). First day, we were told to choose one item between paratha-dahi and poori-sabji, along with tea/coffee. Second day, we talked to the reception the previous night and asked them to arrange for bread-omelette and fruits which they did - sliced apples. Apples didn't taste well and had some brown parts. Break-omelette was fine. Dining area sofas are quite dirty. Tables are not cleaned regularly. No staff was seen around for cleaning. No water on the table. When we asked for water, it was given in dirty glasses.

We were excited for Mcleodganj trip and booked the best and expensive room. Now, I feel highly disappointed and sad. This hotel is not recommended, unless you are ok with the above shortfalls and get the booking in ~1500-2000.

Stayed here for two nights in April 2022.

Pros:
1) The staff is super helpful. They helped us with all our travel needs and were very knowledgeable. They helped book our Triund guide and transportation and local sightseeing.
2) The place is close to the main market and there are plenty of eating options close to the hotel.
3) The rooftop restaurant serves full all day (post 8 am) and the quality of food is quite good.
4) The tariff is reasonable.
5) The WIFI is free and the connectivity and speed was good.
6) The rooms and bathrooms were reasonably clean.
7) The view from the room and the roof top was excellent.

Cons:
1) The rooms and lobby décor look old and tired.
2) There are no street/external noise. But the rooms have very poor sound proofing. If you have noisy neighbours, then your sleep with be disturbed.
3) The breakfast time is quite late. It does not start till past 8 am.

The manager and staff was so disgusting
First we booked the room for 1500 than he started saying no the room price is 2000
We made him listen the call recording he denied agreeing to it also .
No water in the morning we had to go unbathed for the trek
What a rubbish hotel
How worse can the services be when you don't have water to go to washroom and bathe .
No manners of talking
Rude people .
Even if instead of taking money from me to stay ,they give me money to stay in their hotel than also I won't stay.

If you are a nature lover then the balcony of superior room of this hotel is from where you will get a view to cherish for a lifetime. The snowclad Dhauladhar ranges in front of you, the rows of green pine trees,terrace farms, sounds of birds chirping, fresh air and a small mountain stream gurgling below is what will fill your mind. Soniaji is an excellent manager who arranged for all the cabs to sightseeing points. Naddi point view is not to be missed. Food quality is also quite good here.

If you are going through direct booking or via their Sales and Marketing Head guy Mr. Raj then avoid this place. We faced a medical emergency at home and had to check out on the same we checked in. When I tried explaining him the situation he talked so rude and insensitive..simply denied and took the full amount for 3 nights.

Won't recommend this place at all

A delightful little place. Rooms are spacious, clean, and with all the amenities. Every room has a charming little balcony with breathtaking valley views.

But, a special note on the incredible staff at this property led by the ever-helpful Ravi. Wonderful person and that reflects in their services as well.

I would highly recommend this place!!!

To start with, this place has the most amazing view with super cozy rooms. The receptionist Sonia is polite, always smiling and has a very welcoming personality. Ajay has provided us excellent service with a smile. Even Ravi and Sonu (Chef) from the restaurant happily customized food as per our taste. The food was just super yummm!!! I can't thank the staff enough to make our stay at Holiday hill memorable 😊
