The welcome, the comfort, its autumnal decorations, the quality of the food, very clean, the fact it stayed open all day so I could enjoy its facilities after I had checked out of the room. Finally, very good staff who were very friendly and efficient.
The fish and chips served cod not haddock (ha ha!)
Handy for being local to the place we were visiting. The staff were very friendly and would certainly recommend.
Probably the toilet, it was quite noisy as it was a macerater type.

The room was clean and nice. The staff were friendly and the food in the pub/restaurant was very good (we tried both breakfast and dinner). The room did have a fan which was much needed and appreciated. Location was nice and just what we needed to easily get to the sites we saw while there (Chatsworth, Stanage Edge, etc.)

The fire safety light in my room was extremely bright with the unavoidable glow which lit up my room. Poor sleep quality as a consequence unfortunately.

location good. parking good. no need to book a table as there was plety of space.
first night complained no plug in wash hand basin.
sorted next day when they took plug from another room. asked for code as wifi did not work. was told late no wifi for guests
no decaff, coffee in room.
third evening our first choice of meal we were later advised no stock. then power failed.
to resolve power a generator was installed, at 2.30 in the morning ! after the alarm had stopped !
still no wifi and no breakfast as kitchen was still out of bounds.
Easy check in, clean and tidy, very reasonable and good quality breakfast.
Location lovely room amazing staff were great
Good pub, cosy atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff - we have been a couple of times and really liked it especially the large private balcony in rooms 2 and 3. Room 2 seems to be the best overall.
The only thing we didn’t like and we said before was the size of the bed. It appears to be a small double which doesn’t feel big enough for two people- if the beds were king we would have had no complaints whatsoever as it’s very clean etc
