Bakımsız bir otel ama fiyat performans olarak gayet guzel. Konumu çok iyi, tam merkezi yerde. Resepsiyonist Tevfik bey müşteri dostu, cok iyi birisi, her konuda cok yardımcı oluyor, ben memnun kaldım. Biraz bakım yapılıp ona göre de fiyati artarsa çok daha iyi olur, tesekkurler

Otelin resepsiyonunda tevfik abi duruyor. İnanılmaz iyi neşeli bi adam. Bazen anlaşmak zor gelebiliyor veya kaba gibi gelebiliyor ama karsta şive kaynaklı bu var. Tevfik abi bize turları taksicileri herkesi gösterdi ve yardım etti. Otel biraz eski ve bakımsız ancak yeni ve marka otellerde hayatı keşfetemezsiniz. Fiyatı en uygun otellerden ve kahvaltısı gayet güzel. 1 günlük rahatınız için bile hayatı tevfik abiyi ıskalamaya razıysanız başka oteli tercih edin.

idare eder, Aydınlatması daha parlak olabilir di, Buzdolabına su konması yerinde olur. Fiyatı ve Konumu ile kıyaslanınca kalınabilecek EN İYİ OTEL Tevfik bey çözüm odaklı sıcak yardımsever yaklaşımı ile dikkat çekmekte. Bir daha ki gezimde tekrar kalmayı tercih ederim.

Güler yüzleri ve misafirperver yardımlarıyla çok memnun kaldığım bir konaklama deneyimi oldu benim için, fiyat uygunluğu ve performansı kıyaslandığında otel seçiminde ilk sıraya konulabilecek nitelikte bir işletme. Tarihi bir bina ve iç mekanda korunan nostaljik havayla güzel bir sabah kahvaltısı da sunuluyor ayrıca otel dışında şehri tanıma, uygun yerlerden alış-veriş etme gibi konularda da yardımcı oldular. Otel işletmecisi de çok şeker ve tatlı sohbet bir insan. Bir dahaki ziyaretimde de kuşkusuz buradan rezervasyon yapacağım, burası şişirilmiş fiyatlı konaklama yerlerindense uygun rakamlara samimi ve sıcak bir ortamda şehrin tadını çıkarmak isteyenler için bire bir otel.

I was there in February 2020. Look past the frayed carpets, acknowledge the place as a base not a resort and I think you can’t be unhappy with Hotel Temel. I don’t speak a word of Turkish, and the lads in the hotel spoke little or no English, but thanks to Google, we got by; they want you to enjoy your stay. Hot water on tap..., rooms warm enough when -12 degrees outside, bedding crisp and clean and your typical Turkish buffet breakfast waiting for you in the morning. The light in the room was a bit dim for these mole-eyes when wanting to read, but picking an ornate chair in the foyer area sorted that problem. If you do go in winter, and while you’re not visiting the castle, Ani, or Çildir etc, may I suggest you have a copy of Orhan Pamuk’s ‘Snow’ - set in Ani - with you to read? It’s the perfect accompaniment.

Situated in the very centre of Kars
Very good Internet, good and varied buffet breakfast, clean towels and linen and that's all of the pluses.
The hotel needs total renovation and lifting. It remembers better times.
The lift is out of order so we have to walk up and down to the 3rd floor. The double room isn't big, there is a double bed, a fridge, a small tv, a sideboard and a wardrobe. There is no ceiling light, only a small lamp on the wall so the rom is quite dark.
In the bathroom the bathtub tap leaks and there is water all over the floor after the shower. Only one of two lamps has a bulb, so it is dim in there.
The staff don't speak English but try to be very helpful.

Familiar atmosphere and really kind and helpful people! The rooms are basic, clean and you have everything you need. Located in the city center, restaurants and supermarkets in the same street. Good point of departure to visit ANI. Thank you Ergün for your hospitality!

The staff is super friendly and helpfull, no english spoken but it is overpassed with any translation app. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and confortable. Cheap for what we have, and the breakfast is standard but good.

Otelin konumu güzeldi fakat biraz bakıma ihtiyacı var amacınız otelde konfordan ziyade karsı gezmek iste denenebilir

Gezilecek yerlere çok yakın fakat odadaki tvde 5 kanal var ve lavabosu pek temiz sayılmazdı

When we came to the reception the lights were turned off and suddenly the guy at the front desk emerged from the shadows. He didn't have our reservation registered nor he knew about hotels.com. The room was simple but with a disgusting smoke odor that made us feel like sleeping in an ashtray. The bathroom had leaks that flooded it and at night you could heard the drops of water.

Blankets are not so clean, also the bathrooms are in mess. There is not many things for breakfast. The prices are higher at booking.com. Only good thing about the hotel is its location. I won't choose it for any other trip to kars.

We stayed in Temel Hotel for 1 night with my boyfriend and one of our friends in triple room. Firstly, the bathroom was really filthy, and there was no toilet paper. Secondly, we paid 165 TL for triple room, it does not seem like "budget hotel" for us as Turkish citizens. Thirdly, since staff were friendly and nice, the receptionist guy asked me, if there is a mistake about triple room because we are 1 woman and 2 men in a same room. This really disturbed me as a woman. The location is ok but Kars is a very small province, you can find too many hotels at center. I totally don't recommend this place.

Positive is the location of the hotel in Kars and good internet. The lady of the house comes to the door for fresh towels and would like to receive money for it. Astonishing! Futhermore, the room was filthy. Especially The bathroom. Dirt from previous visitors is still hanging in the bathroom. Bah.
Most expensive hotel in Turkey for 8 weeks and I give it the worst rating.

Temel otel (not to mistake with TEMEL 2) is a budget Hotel but a very good, abundant breakfast. The owner was a bit rough to bargain with but got down to the price I wanted eventually: paid off in staying 4 nights instead of one. Wifi worked well, especially in the lobby but was good in room aswell.

I loved my time in Kars, the people are so absolutely friendly, so many interesting places to see, way out of the tourist path and by experience, food is the cheapest in all Turkey.
