Location very central yet quiet. Direct view on a beautiful square. Rooms well appointed and clean. The personnel are polite and efficient.
Lokalizasyon ve personel çok çok iyidi
Banyoda ve oradan odaya yayılan lapım kokusu çok rahatsız ediciydi
todo perfecto!

The staff were very nice and helpful. The facilities were pretty and modern on the inside. But what greeted me when I opened the door to my room was a foul smell of a sewer combined with the sent reminiscent of the pink stuff they sprinkle on vomit in elementary school in the US. So clearly they knew about the smell. I aired out the room, ran the faucets for a bit thinking it was because the room had been empty too long and it was better for a while. Even with the fan running all night the bathroom stunk in the morning. I should have asked if I could change rooms but I was just too tired to deal with it. The breakfast was also not a Buffett like most places and had no choices, just what they sat in front of you. I would not have paid extra for what it was if I had known. It was barely average.

The rooms look out over an historic plaza. I was pleased to discover that this plaza features in the Luis Bunuel film Tristana – I recognized some of the space and columned walkway from some scenes in that film. It is unfortunate that the plaza now includes a Burger King and a McDonalds, but it still has some historic charm, and there were Christmas / holiday pop up shops set up throughout the plaza while we were there. Due to the holiday period of our stay, there was also some music and more sound in the plaza that our room overlooked.During most times of year, this should not be a problem, but we wound up requesting a slightly higher floor room level to offset the sound, and we were very pleased that such a room was made available for us. I greatly appreciate the hotel’s flexibility in accommodating our request.
We did not realize it when we booked either, but the hotel is run by the same owners as the Adolfo restaurant, which we visited and loved. If you want a fine dining experience while in Toledo, the nearby Adolfo restaurant is the place to go. The room itself is simple but nice. The bathroom is particularly well-designed, and I like the fact that it has a “real” contained shower which does not allow water to spill all over the floor (unlike many European hotel showers). There are no extra comforts like bathrobes, slippers, treats, etc. But it is a very comfortable bed with good pillows, working wifi, a safe, etc. For the most part, this was a good place to stay in terms of its proximity to many interesting Toledo sites and in terms of its comforts and helpful staff.
The tv does not have any international news channel (like CNN, BBC, or Al Jazeera), which is odd since most hotels of this caliber provide at least one of those channels.
One thing worth considering if you are not able-bodied is that the first level of the hotel is about street level and the elevator is just above that level. You have some steps to walk up before reaching the hotel reception and elevator, so if you have mobility issues, this is probably not the right place for you. Similarly, there is no easy way to drive up and drop off luggage before heading to a parking garage (there is a way that the hotel recommends, but we did not find it easy to do). Luckily, the recommended nearby garage is not too far from the hotel, and when you arrive with luggage you can press a buzzer and wait for someone to assist with the luggage.
We had it once, and it was delicious. The location was excellent
nothing
