Nice rooms, frustrating start to the stay trying to sort issues.
Pros:

Beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Well equipped tea/coffee etc. good location.

Cons:

Air con did not work at all. Control for air con was even inaccessible down the side of a heavy wardrobe. Communication with staff for help was extremely frustrating. Do not book if it is hot and you are banking on the air con like us. They should not be advertising the air Co. Staff unable to provide fans or help in the warm weather.

No facilities and no maintenance.
Pros:

Firstly, this is not a hotel. Its an Airbnb, no matter how it is portrayed on Booking.com. There are no staff, there are no facilities, really is a house of multiple occupation. It initially looks very nice, until you spend time there. communal carpets need a good clean, failed lightbulbs at the top of a very dark staircase generally, a lack of care and attention. The room was very small in the loft of the building. The tap in the bathroom is hanging off, The shower head leaks all night and hasn't seen a good clean and descale in many years. If you have a need to use the toilet brush I would recommend a hazmat suit. These are basics. If the cleaner did their job, these sort of issues wouldn't be found, the guest should never find things such as this. Basics: you need to properly light staircases, especially as the staircase is the only evacuation route. Basics: The cleaner cannot miss the tap hanging out; get it reported. We did debate leaving early, but as we had a full day on the Saturday we persevered and left very early on the Sunday. Not for us this place in the region of £250 per night for a basic room I would rather use a Travelodge.

Great location and excellent facilities
Pros:

Great location, lovely room. Easy to access cafe next door. Good easy access.

Cons:

WiFi was poor and meant that we could not watch the football we had planned to watch. One of the window locks was broken, my husband fixed it.

Gorgeous hotel, spacious room with AC!
Pros:

Gorgeous hotel, lovely, spacious room, appreciated the AC and mini fridge in this weather. Felt overall clean, the finer details like cups and coffee/tea selection was great. Mostly quiet, great location. Loved the shower and water quality.

Cons:

While it felt clean, it seemed like the smaller details were overlooked - stains and sticky areas on carpet, spoons for tea and water bottles stained too. I enjoyed my stay, was travelling for work and unfortunately the WiFi was shockingly slow and constantly connecting and disconnecting from devices which was a downer for me.

Pros:

The house is nice on the outside. the facilities inside my room were clean, new and stylish.

Cons:

significant difficulties getting into my room. It took my about 45 minutes at 9.30pm, and at one point i had to lie down on the floor and wait in the corridor as my feet were exhausted, waiting for the staff member to get back to me with directions for the room key. i appreciate it was out of hours, but the company should provide a more reliable entry system as i see from other reviews this is a common problem.

Perfect romantic city getaway
Pros:

Cosy romantic hotel. We needed a last minute booking late at night due to being discharged from the hospital and the customer service agent was very helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. The facilities were great including robes Naf bath salts to use in the vintage bathtub in the room. Room had AC during the hot weather and a table top fan which I prefer to use. There was a fridge and iron in the room. A good selection of teas and coffee and some biscuits. I had an amazing rest after a very stressful day in A&E. Will definitely book again when we can spend more time here

Bad experience turned the air conditioning off at 4am to save money in a heatwave!
Pros:

Was a nice location and it did have a nice bath

Cons:

Tv played up non stop had to keep turning it off and leaving it for 5 minutes then turn it back on reported it to the staff
Air conditioning turned off at 4am and it was 33c heatwave this week reported it to staff who made me get up out of bed and go look for a cupboard to unlock a padlock and find a fan for the room. When I googled the problem it said the hotel had locked the air con control panel so I couldn’t reset it. It then turned back on at 8am. So I believe the hotel are turning them off in the night to save money

Owner cancelled without warning.
Cons:

The owner cancelled my reservation. He did not contact me to let me know, just did not reply to my messages re parking/check in and when he eventually answered my call just said it was unavailable. No apology, no reason. Caution when booking this property.
