Nice breakfast

The room was clean and comfortable! I loved the shower! The continental breakfast had more hot options than I was expecting and something that everyone (even picky kids) enjoyed. We were happy with our stay and comfortably fit 3 adults and 2 children in our suite.

Place was clean, rooms comfy, breakfast options good and walkable to dining. Only thing was space under the door so could hear everything in the hall.

I didn't feel comfortable at this location and wished that I had stayed in nearby St. Paul or Minneapolis. Local dining and options and sightseeing opportunities were unsatisfactory.

I liked the stay, but i booked with Expedia and when i got there they asked for a credit card. I understand that they need something, but they charged me $236.31 on top of the $250 i paid Expedia. Now a week and a half later and 4 different conversations with Expedia, i have to dispute the charges with my bank...never again will i stay here. $500 for one night? They called them twice and they are not giving me the money back...i thought i could have a relaxing night, nope now i have more work to do...this is so ridiculous

Pros: Property is relatively new and extremely well-maintained. An excellent location. Breakfast was decent and there were several hot selections. Breakfast room was very clean and items were frequently replenished. Our room was more spacious than most; coffee, tea options in room and lobby. Nice bedding

Cons: WiFi was available on our phones but we were unable to sign in on our computers for the duration of our stay. Tap water the morning of our departure was mysteriously milky in appearance. Lobby seemed to rotate staff from job to job so desk was often unmanned. Pricing was somewhat high for a Holiday Inn Express

I have to say that the breakfast here was very good

Rooms were really nice and breakfast was excellent. Very nice staff.

Conveniently located in Red Wing, about a mile from the center of downtown Red Wing. Restaurants and riverfront at walking distance. Comfortable beds, pleasant rooms, reasonable breakfast offerings.

The hotel was fine but I think the price was high for the quality.

Here are a few examples:
- Looks like they hired a someone who usually designs prisons to design their hotel - everything gray and very bland. Weird single seat lounge chair in the room.
- Nice solid core bathroom door that would have been great if it actually closed but to open or close it, was really noisy so if you use the bathroom at night, either leave it open or wake everyone in the room.
- Carbon monoxide detector is probably a nice edition but it had a bright green light that made the room super bright and it was under the desk so there was no easy way to cover it.

All in all, the room was fine but you could stay at a much nicer place for the same cost.
