Cons:

I truly despised the enormous step up into the bathroom especially at 3am. An accident waiting to happen.

Second time and loved it even more!
Pros:

This was our second stay at the Anteroom. This time we booked a bigger room which was wonderful. We love the fact that it is not in the central tourist district and yet there are many little Izakayas nearby - we have tried many and all are delicious and well priced ( Y4000 for two). The breakfast at Anteroom was delicious! Each morning there was a different breakfast sandwich on offer as well as the usual scrambled eggs, soup, salads, pastries. and the best coffee we had in Japan. The staff are so attentive, polite and friendly. We just love staying here, close to the station and easy to get to the tourist district if you wish but feels like you are living in a suburb away from the crush of tourists. Wonderful bed, linen, etc.

Cons:

We wondered if the bar downstairs could feel a little more inviting if it is open to the public - it is not clear to us if hotel guests are welcome as it seemed that very few guests used it, the tables are often covered in books and people seem to study or work there so we were not sure if we could eat there or order drinks there. Maybe it is only for conference attendees. This did not detract form our wonderful stay in any way - just a comment.

ホテルの雰囲気、朝食が最高でした☆
Pros:

入り口からオシャレで気分が上がる！
アート展示をゆっくり眺められ楽しかったです。
お部屋はシングルルームだったので、コンパクトでしたが、十分な設備だったと思います。
素敵なお部屋もたくさんあるようだったので、また機会があれば利用したいです！
なにより朝食が美味しく、京野菜を使用したサラダバーやスムージー、手作り感のあるグラノーラまであり嬉しかったです。
時期とタイミングだとは思いますが、まさか京都でこんなにお得に泊まれるとは思っておらず、びっくりしました！
欧米系の方も多かったですが、ビジネス利用の方もいらっしゃる印象でした。
女性ひとり旅でも泊まりやすいと感じました＾＾

Cons:

メインが間接照明だった為、お部屋が暗い。
夕方のチェックインだったので、少し薄暗く感じました。

Pros:

ホテル全体のデザインや雰囲気が素敵でした。
朝食もおいしく、朝から素敵な時間を過ごせました！

Cons:

檜風呂とお庭付きのお部屋だったのですが、
ブラインドを上げると外から丸見えなので
あまり外の雰囲気をたのしめなかったです。
また、暖房の効きが悪く、寒かったです。

Very peaceful area
Pros:

VERY FRIENDLY STAFF.
The hotel is located 500 meters between two subway stations, so you can walk to either one in about 10 minutes. The hotel room is comfortable but is really bare bone. A queen size bed, a desk, and a small fridge cabinet with a small TV on top of it. That's it...painted concrete walls and ceilings. The bathroom has a bathtub with a cheap shower wand, and the bathroom floor is 30CM high off the bedroom/ hallway floor, not kid or elderly accommodating.
There is not much happening in the surrounding area. Just a Lawson's, Family Mart, and 7-Eleven. However, two subway stops away is Kyoto Station (subway hub and shopping). Thus the area is very peaceful, without the rush of tourist.

Cons:

Nothing in the surrounding neighborhood, including restaurants. All the action is 1500 meters away at Kyoto Station.

Had a great stay in a very very nice and comfortable hotel
Pros:

Great place to relax. Very clean and comfortable. Especially the room with wooden bath - that was a hit !! Kind and helpful staff.
Will definitely stay again

Cons:

The one and only downside was the TV.
Huge screen and absolutely no possibility to operate it or watch it without knowing Japanese.
Having tv in the room only makes sense if accessible to ALL the guest. That was a bit of a disappointment, especially after long sightseeing day, would be nice to even listen to some news etc.
I hope the management will consider this for the future

Good value for money.
Pros:

Modern decorations of an old building. Really good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

You can´t see through the windows, feels a little bit claustrophobic. Nothing to see or do around the hotel, but only 5 minute walk to the bus stop/ underground.

Pros:

朝食が美味しかった、部屋が清潔だった
受付スタッフの方は対応がとても良かった。

Cons:

チェックインしたらガンガン扉を叩かれてびっくりしました。清掃の方だったみたい。(悪意がないのは理解してますがびっくりした)
あと、バーの方の対応があまり良くなかった。
