perfect for a short stop over.
Pros:

The owner couldn't have been more helpful if he had tried. Food was delicious. Room was warm and spacious

One to return to.
Pros:

The very warm welcome from host, room had character and was spotless.
Lovely location in a very quaint village, however park and ride into York very nearby taking the stress out of city centre parking.
I have never seen such a charming and well stocked bar, also very clean and tidy.
Food very good value for money.

A fantastic time
Pros:

Everything from the excellent team to the food it was a great place to stay but what made it stand out was the Landlord Dave his lovely wife and Olivia and Jack the bar staff

It sufficed my needs, meal, hit shower and bed.
Pros:

Staff were very accommodating and friendly, food was great

Cons:

The bed was too short for me 6' 4" so had to sleep diagonally in the bed. Shower was also very small.

A very good pub stay and brekkie!
Pros:

Good location and quiet room for our stay. Dave the landlord/host was very welcoming and hospitable on our arrival, and the following morning at breakfast, which I must add was lovely and filling. We would definitely stay again.

Cons:

10am check-out was ok, but 11am would have been preferred.

Pros:

Bright, clean. The room was big, clean and nicely decorated. The en-suite was clean and tidy. Breakfast was really good as it was included in the price.

Pros:

Everything!!! The landlord Dave couldn’t do enough for us he even upgraded our room and sorted out our evening meal can’t praise him enough can highly recommend this hidden gem
