Caveat - Recommended for Single Night Stays
Pros:

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with good variety. The location is also outstanding with easy access to I-81 and close to Downtown Staunton. Except for a single employee who will remain anonymous the rest of the staff are helpful and courteous.

Cons:

I originally booked for 2 nights but when I checked in the Front Desk told me they only had a reservation for a 1 night stay. I showed my copy of my Booking.com Confirmation for 2 nights so she did some more looking. She fould the 2nd night but she said I would have to checkout in the morning and check back in again in the afternoon. I told her that was unacceptable and rather than help me she became rude. She told me that if I booked through a 3rd party like Booking.com consecutive stays in the same room could not be guranteed unless I booked directly through Marriott. Rather than argue with her I requested she cancel my reservation for the 2nd night. The Front Desk told me that I would have to contact Booking.com. I was grateful Booking.com customer service stepped in and modified my reservation to a single so I was able to get another room at the Hilton next door. I talked to the Fairfield Front desk when I checked out and requested the Hotel Manager call me to explain what happened. He never called so I can only recommend this hotel for a single night stay. Booking multiple nights are done at your own risk. Completely ruined my perception of Marriot. Personally I will not stay here again.

This was an okay stop
Pros:

The location was good. The breakfast had a good variety but the layout was not smooth. The pool area was very nice.

Cons:

The floor in our room was dirty. There was not a bathtub and the shower wall was clear glass so when someone was taking a shower no one else could use the bathroom. It was on my reservation that I had 3 children. The breakfast area was crowded and the layout was choppy.

Good hotel, will stay again!
Pros:

Comfy beds. Solid breakfast. Good pool and gym. Friendly staff We arrived a couple hours early and our rooms were not ready, but the front desk got us a key so the kids could swim in the pool. Would absolutely stay here again!

Overall it was great. Very comfortable, super clean which is the most important. Everything worked.

Overbooked and rooms cancelled.
Pros:

I don’t know. I arrived in the middle of the night with a party of 6, including 2 kids and a toddler. I was told there were no rooms. My sister booked hers through the bonvoy app and there was no room for her either. Our reservations were cancelled because the new hotel system overbooked the rooms so we had to wander in the night to find another hotel.

Cons:

That it was overbooked.

Clean comfortable quiet in the hotel. Nice breakfast.

Cons:

Did hear road traffic on the highway side of the hotel. Did not interfere with sleeping. For some it was like white noise.

Wonderful Visit to Staunton, VA
Pros:

Stayed here for two nights and to our delight upon arrival, the lobby was spacious, inviting and very clean. The King room we stayed in was also very clean and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

The hotel is conveniently located close to major highways and downtown Staunton where you can find a plethora of nice restaurants, wineries, cultural attractions and cool things to do in general.

The next time we visit the Staunton area, booking a reservation at the Fairfield Inn & Suites is a no-brainer!
