The location
I had to call room service several times before someone picked up the phone.
Upea sijainti ja kiva miljöö
I had an upgrade to a suite which was exceptional. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room wasn't ready on arrival but I was able to leave my luggage and this was taken up to my room for me which was really helpful.
I can't think of anything I didn't like.
Great customer service.
We stayed here for our wedding which took place in Marylebone. We chose Richmond Hill as we got engaged whilst staying here. In advance small requests were made which were actioned immediately such as having a vase for the wedding flowers and full length mirror for dressing. We stayed in a Georgian suite - absolutely stunning and air conditioned during the heatwave which was welcomed.
The hotel staff, as always were so welcoming, friendly and helpful both at reception and in the bar/restaurant. A little hand written note was in our room on arrival. The room was delightful and the hotel even provided us with Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our wedding. We couldn’t have wished for more and can’t wait to stay again. It is our favourite hotel!
Convenient for our stay and plenty of space
We stayed four nights with three generations sharing a room. The hotel did a wonderful job accommodating us from having a crib for the 4 month old to extra cleanups when things were chaotic. All the staff from front desk, to restaurant to housekeeping were gracious and helpful.
Note this is an older building and there are stairs to get around. There are elevators to the upper floors but stairs to enter hotel and to get to restaurant.
Room was comfortable, heavy curtains were great for day time naps, AC worked well. En suite bathroom is a tinted glass stall, somewhat less privacy than anticipated but convenient that toilet, shower and sink were all in separate areas so it was easy for multiple users.
Convenient walk to parks, restaurants, pubs etc. Also easy walk down the hill to the train station to get anywhere in London or beyond.
Breakfast buffet was wonderful, lots of interesting healthy options like chia pudding and watermelon beet salad as well as traditional English breakfast items. We also enjoyed delicious lunch and iced coffees later in the day.
Location, staff and the bar outside
Room was very small! Breakfast - good variety but cooked wasn’t very tasty and eggs overdone
Beware of "Luxury Rooms" being no more than a basic travel lodge size room and bring charged over £400 per night for the pleasure! Could not even fit the luggage in the room . Rip off
Oh and the floor constantly soaking wet with a leaking shower door. 3 times asked then to fix it and nothing!!
Location & staff
The room was extremely small & basic and lacked many basic amenities I would normally expect, which made the stay feel quite uncomfortable.
Beautifully decorated, smelled amazing on arrival. Offered iced water immediately. Great breakfast. Great location.
Our room was small, overlooked a carpark, scaffolding on next door’s building site and some industrial looking bins!
Food is fantastic
Room was excellent
We absolutely loved our stay at Richmond Hill Hotel. After traveling all night, being able to check in early was such a gift, and we were incredibly grateful for the kindness and flexibility of the staff.
The hotel itself is exceptionally charming, spotless, comfortable, and full of character. Every interaction we had with the team was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
Richmond is a storybook town, and we’re so glad we chose to stay there rather than simply pass through. Richmond Hill Hotel was a big part of what made the experience so special. It provided the perfect home base for exploring the area and made our time there even more memorable.
We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.
Have stayed here at RHH many times and often come to the Terrace and 144 for lunch or a drink while visiting Richmond. It’s a beautiful spot, stylishly decorated, food and staff are great, free car parking when you stay or even just eating at the restaurant. It’s one of my favourite places in Richmond.
Having previously stayed at the hotel a number of years ago we booked again for a birthday celebration and were so glad that we did, as the hotel was even better than before.
Everything about the stay was perfect - friendly and professional reception staff, beautiful room with superb views (4th floor) , really comfortable bed, immaculately clean and great amenities.
Nothing was too much trouble from the staff.
Free parking was a real bonus.
Would highly recommend.
Staff were a credit to the hotel.
