My go-to getaway splurge

I was hugely surprised to have been upgraded for free - to a room with a balcony looking with Richmond Hill across the road, which was lovely. The room was fabulous, hotel staff amazing - down to letting me pick something off the main menu that wasn't on the room service menu, and no hassle changing my breakfast order for the second day (didn't factor in how big the portions are!)...

Cons:

Absolutely nothing - I love this hotel, discovered when covid restrictions first eased up and travel, within tier, was allowed and I needed a break. Been returning every since - though I only live in London it's lovely to get out of a built up area to one that has such a fabulous park and the river nearby.

The staff could not have been more accommodating and they upgraded our room as we were there for my husbands birthday. We paid to have breakfast at the hotel and the selection of food on offer was amazing.

Very lovely hotel
Pros:

Everything was great from arrival to leaving. Esp pleased to have comfy bed as I have arthritis. Fabulous breakfast selection including over night chia seeds, non sugary porridge, all the usual cooked breakfast, lots of choice.
