Place is just fantastic, owners are very kind, pure Vietnamese hospitality. I will only visit this place being in Ha Giang.
That I can not live there forever
We got in late at 12:00 and they said they would have someone there for us to check in but when we got there it was locked and they didn’t pick up the phone. We had to walk around and find a different hostel.

The people were incredibly nice! Let me check in early, and after returning from the loop, they let me have a shower and rest there with no charge, even organizing the bus back to Hanoi. I also could leave my luggage with them during the trip and even though I didn't rent a bike through them, I could still borrow a helmet from them, also with no charge. They are very kind and it is a good base for when doing the Ha Giang Loop/Cao Bang tour :)
It was just a quick overnight stay, toilets were decent, and the hot shower worked well. The beds have curtains, which makes it feel private and cosy.
Very good value. We had to leave very early but the lovely owner was up to see us off and hand us parcelled up freshly made egg rolls for our breakfast. So kind! We certainly didn't expect it. Supermarket nearby.
I loved the location in a small alley, my private room with balcony to the alley which was very clean, Hang who was so very nice and knowledgeable and helped me in many ways, and the decency of prices and free services such as water bottles and more. Definitely recommended. Right next to the alley there's a very nice cheap Italian restaurant - Everlast, and all other services you'll need. Hang also rents motorbikes for the loop
We had a great stay here right before and after doing the Ha Giang Loop. The rooms are comfortable and clean and well-equipped. The host is really sweet and prepared a nice breakfast. And the place was located across the street from where we departed on the loop, so couldn’t have been better located for us. Highly recommend
Nothing
Staff were helpful, breakfast was good, useful for renting a motorbike
Bed was uncomfortable and noisy, light in the hallway always on meaning the room was light all night (glass door), no option to pay with card, aircon didn't work. Hot water was limited.
The location is great, you can easily walk everywhere in Ha Giang.
The dorm was clean, the beds comfortable and there were warm blankets.
There's a light and a plug for every bed and the beds are very private since they are more pods and bunks.
The bathroom was clean and there was hot water.
They refill your bottle for free.
The woman who runs the place is super helpful and nice! She knows about all the public busses, the loop etc.
Of course you can leave your bags there while you're out in the area.
Like every other place in Ha Giang, you can either rent a motorbike from them (very good condition!) or book an easy-rider option. It's amazing, because they don't do big tour groups so even with the easy-rider option it's just you (and the people you're travelling with anyway, if you're travelling in a group) and you don't have to follow a big group but can decide where you want to stop, what you want to see etc on your own.
Perfect for people who dislike big tour groups/mass tourism schemes)!!
Nice and cozy rooms. Good breakfast and location.
Communication with girls on reception was sometimes tricky.
Excellent experience staying here! I highly recommend this place. The room was clean and spacious and I had a fabulous view of the mountains. Moreover, the staff are incredibly helpful, kind and professional. In particular, Hằng went out of her way to help me plan an independent trip around the Ha Giang loop, involving arranging local buses and messaging me regularly on WhatsApp to make sure I made the connections. Could not have done it without her generous help! Great place to stay!
They helped a lot during and after our stay until we reach Hanoi. Amazing
We were very well received by Hang and his family. The place is ideally located and the private rooms are clean and spacious. We saw the dormitory which seemed to be just as spotless. Hang is very helpful and very sweet. She also offers motorbike rental for the Loop but also cheap tickets for the bus (towards Hanoi and Ninh Binh). We were able to leave our bags with her during our tour. We loved our stay!
The room was nice, clean and functional. I got here from Hanoi with the night bus at around 3 am. It was no problem checking in in the middle of the night.
Hang was just a very lovely person who was so keen on helping me plan the Ha Giang Loop. She rented me a bike for a very good price and had many good recommendations for the trip. I could store my luggage during the trip with her, without an extra fee.
When I got back her husband recommended me a massage studio where I got one of the best massages I had in Vietnam for a very, very good price. Hang also booked me a ticket for the ride back- which was cheaper then the ticket I booked through my hotel when I came here.
I feel very lucky to have met such a wonderful person! Thank you very much!
- The Wi-Fi worked fine
- They were nice enough to let me leave my small suitcase there while I went on my Ha Giang Loop trip
- Breakfast was simple (eggs, some bread, and slices of tomato and cucumber). It was waiting for me on the table before I went down.
- The bathroom drainage (the sink pipe came out of the wall near the toilet and released water onto the floor near a drain, but the drain didn't seem to flow well.
- Location isn't the best (although not terrible).
- Booking.com photos showed travelers there eating dinner, so I assumed that they serve dinner here, but I found out that they don't. I was told I can go look for food when I asked.
The family running it was lovely and checkin was super smooth and easy. They checked me in at close to midnight cos I arrived late from Hanoi. The room was comfortable enough and fairly spacious. The balcony overlooked a beautiful mountain. The best thing is that this hotel is a little bit of distance away from the main street - it's close but won't be anywhere near as noisy so you can get a comfortable and relaxing stay. I decided to book this place because I didn't want to stay at the hostel from which my Ha Giang loop tour was departing. It was a good decision but I recognise it may not be affordable for everyone.
The water pressure was pretty weak and the bathroom quite small (but this seems to be a common thing in affordable accommodation around Vietnam)
