The management was arrogant,we saw the poor reviews and took a gamble because it was discounted 50%, we would have rather stayed elsewhere and felt relief when we were leaving knowing it was over, the things the management said to us regarding a noisy air conditioner and how we were treated afterwards was unacceptable, they were not accommodating at all and the blame was placed on us. In the end we had three sleepless nights and we were happy to leave. The hotel was empty and the beach club was empty in high season, I feel bad for the staff, suffering for the arrogance of poor leadership

On as manqué d eau, l eau pour la douche était tiède ou inexistant à part la dernière soirée, le lavabo salle de bain toujours bloquer lorsque l on fait couler l eau , on as été 3 jours la bas ils n ont pas fait la chambre une seule fois, ils ne voulaient pas changer nos serviettes de bain , l endroit était beau rien de plus et je ne crois plus que je vais louer avec Booking . COM DANS LE FUTUR, très déçus c est ma pire expérience dans un site Hôtelier.

El aire acondicionado no sirve bien

Es gibt abends leider keine Bar, die geöffnet hat, wo man den Tag ausklingen lassen kann. Die Abendessenzeiten sind sehr kurz, bis 6.30pm. Der Weg zum privaten Bereich der Lagune ist etwas holprig. Leider gibt es keine minibar und keinen safe.

El acceso a la laguna cambia la esencia del lugar! queda a 100 metros del hotel, es como una casa particular para tener acceso a la laguna y no tienen los mismos acabados, la arena de la laguna en ese muelle es muy lodosa y no se alcanza a disfrutar por la sensación que genera.

The property was listed as Luxury… the toilet seat fell off the toilet, both doors wouldn’t lock, one lock completely fell apart and the WiFi was very weak. This property is not on Bacalar lake, you have to walk across the street and down the hill to the Beach club which was very difficult to find. The Manager was very helpful in giving us a better room and booking our sailboat tour of the lake.

We were there in low season, november. Got the rooms at 105 usd/night, full price were 275 usd/night.
During our 5 days stay, we complained 3 times to get hot water. Never got any, we had cold showers for the whole stay. Staff was not helpful at all to ease the inconvenient.
Despite the photos, access to the lagoon is about 200 meters from the actual hotel grounds.
Staff did not speak a word of English.
They asked us if we wanted to to get the room cleaned on our last day, never got new towels.
The beds in the full room were cheaply made and the mattress warped under our weight. Tried to switch rooms for the queen size bed, we got told that is was not available and they tried to upgrade us in the family room at full high season price, the queen size room was available throughout our whole stay…
They played loud music in the lobby from 8:30 until 22:30, we could clearly hear it from the room.
There were no fridge in the rooms or readily available for customers, so if you want a cold drink, you need to go to the corner store.
We only had 2 coffees and even with all complaints they charged us 90 pesos at checkout.

The receptionist woman was unkind, 3/4 times not in the reception place so we had to wait.
Lagoon area was disgusting, just a mess without normal access to the water.

The photos are deceiving. It's very expensive for the quality of luxury depicted in the photos.
Thus propery is not NOT on the lake. They have a separate entrance within a 5 min walk to get to the lake.
Our room was strange. The bathroom is like a giant stall, so you can hear everything.
Night one, a bunch of ants ended up in my dad's bed and was bit up. We found the culprit in the morning, there was a dead lizard in the room. I understand these things are uncontrollable, but I think there are better places that you would be able to get value for your money.
