Pros:

Originally accommodation for students the brick buildings have been given a new lease of life as a hotel, and the conversion has succeeded admirably. It is not a grand hotel, nor is it a tedious stack of identical bedrooms, yet there is something reassuringly solid about the place that lends it a friendly but purposeful character.

The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space although it might have been a little cramped for longer stays. The en-suite was tidy and sparkling while parking for the bike was secluded but not totally secure. Altogether excellent value.

Cons:

The evening meals were OK, but not exceptional, we didn't try breakfast. AC would also have been a bonus. The friendliness of the staff very much depended on which staff member was encountered.
