Sonder at 1500 Canal

I always stay at the Sonder at 1500 Canal but I just found out that Sonder is no longer using that location which I’m very sad about because again every time I go to New Orleans, which is a lot I stay there so now I’m gonna have to find somewhere else to stay this place is beautiful always clean. The staff is always friendly in the hotel. I’m gonna miss this place.

We had a great trip really spacious very clean great location not too crowded very convenient very easy check in and everything. The only complaint is that it only has one TV and the bed isn’t as comfortable. The bed is really stiff and firm. That’s the only down fall that I have overall great experience

Good location. Clean quiet.

We were confused with checkin. We didn’t realize we were actually going into the Jung Hotel. Once we figured that out, everything went smooth. The valet parking was nice. The attendants were so friendly. The unit was so spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again!

Very spacious. Nice, clean rooms. Pretty close to the French Quarter. Plenty of restaurants close by.

Loved the Sonder! Our room was big and it was nice. Was great having the streetcar stop to French quarter across the street. Pool was small but good for a dip. Love the washer and dryer and kitchen! Cute coffee shop downstairs with good espresso drinks and light fare. Will definitely be staying at other Sonders in the future.

The location on Canal is not as walkable as we’d hoped. Right beside Tulane hospital. Our unit was devoid of street noise thankfully. Keypad repair was appreciated. Comfortable and functional. Clean. Tub drain plug was not working properly but not worth asking for a fix as our stay was short. Nice having the kitchen as we had groceries and ate in frequently. If you want late checkout it must be requested more than a day ahead. We had planned to extend but the option times out in the app.

Great location. Huge rooms, well appointed for long stays. Great for groups.

There were a few issues. On Saturday about 50 teenagers through a part next door. We called the contact number for the hotel (there is no one on site) and they said they would send someone in the morning. Needless to say I got no sleep. There is no A C in the common areas and only one of the two bedrooms had working AC.

Our stay at Sonder (Jung Hotel) exceeded expectations. The room was massive with a large living room and kitchen area. We loved the extra space to stretch out after a long day of walking in New Orleans. Getting around was super easy thanks to transportation stops right out side the hotel on Canal St. Excellent communication and easy check-in.

The property was what it was -- the old Jung hotel and residences. Nothing special but nothing terrible either. It was disappointing compared to the Sonders I've booked Uptown that were not available this trip. Aside from the property, I expected at least hand soap and enough towels for the stay.

It’s located right in the heart of tourist trap central. Nothing is reasonably priced in the area. For that matter the entire city. They only offered valet parking at 50 bucks a night
tip not included. Valet guy claims it’s in and out but I didn’t stick around to test it. Cheap self parking across the street 15.00 24 hours that offers unlimited in and out. I can see myself staying here again.

No air conditioner. No help. Horrible customer service

Very nice staying in convenience location! Close to main attractions. Walking distance to French Quarter. Spacious apartments with full kitchen and dining area! Definitely recommend to our friends and family!

Cannot stay in lodging that has no TV or Internet

What i didn't like is, there was no tv in the bedroom, the furniture felt like card board an we had to a service elevator to get to the pool an gym area which didnt feel safe especially for a woman an children thats alone.. the overall room was nice an the tub was spacious for 2.. washer, dryer & closet space was useful

This was a great property located near Bourbon Street. It was very secure and had reasonable parking a block away. Very clean, hard to beat this property.
