Important information:

We would like to inform that we are integrating new rooms and an Artist Residency towards the back of the hotel. It is important to highlight that this adaptation is happening outside the building in order to minimize dust that could affect daily operations. These modifications take place from 10am to 7pm, so your daily nocturnal rest at Orchid House is guaranteed.
We would also like to communicate that our restaurant and rooms function in entire normality. This will finish at the end of April. (April 30th, 2020).

Beautiful, tranquil, safe and clean. Best for singles, or folks who aren't inside the rm a lot.
Pros:

The house is beautiful, the hotel atmosphere is tranquil and quiet. The location is stunning and historical. It has a lot of other restaurants around and central to other museums, etc. The staff are excellent, helpful and communicated very well to facilitate what they could.

Cons:

The room is too tiny for two people, the bathroom has no opaque door (the glass door doesn't give privacy), the windows are tiny, making it feel stuffy. The shelves are poorly placed so that I was running into sharp edges and bumping my head while taking things in and out of the suitcase. The buzzing every time a guest came into the hotel made the room very loud.

Except for the bathroom, overall the experience was good.
Pros:

The property was beautiful and in a good location. Staff were polite. Food was very yummy.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, hübsche Dekoration des Hauses , nettes ,sehr aufmerksames Personal ,das Zimmer war liebevoll dekoriert und das Bad mit sehr guten Produkten wie Shampoo und Cremes bestückt ,Hausbar hatte ebenso alles was man wünscht.

Cons:

Wir bekamen ein viel zu kleines Zimmer für 2 Personen mit Gepäck ,ohne Platz um gleichzeitig zwei große Koffer zu öffnen ,eine spielerische Kaffeemaschine die nicht gut funktioniert hat , Bad ok aber Waschtisch zu eng Dusche war ok - ,Nachtschränke waren extrem klein , Schrank nicht ausreichend groß für zwei langreisende Gäste, das Restaurant entspricht nicht den Erwartungen und dem Standard der dieser wunderbaren Gegend der Stadt entspricht.
Im Zimmer hatten wir keine Möglichkeit,keinen Tisch ,keinen Platz um mit unserem Laptop zu arbeiten, also nicht für Businessreisen zu empfehlen.

The first room I was assigned appeared to be a repurposed space—possibly previously used as a staff room. The door was noticeably smaller than those of the other guest rooms, and its proximity to the entrance and reception area made it difficult to rest due to constant noise from staff and guests. I was relocated the following night, which I appreciated, but the second room had its own issues: poor blackout coverage allowed light in throughout the night, the water pressure was inconsistent, and the in-room amenities felt minimal and not in line with the boutique branding. Additionally, at checkout, there was an unexpected and uncomfortable push to include a staff tip, which seemed out of place considering the overall experience. While the property has charm, the attention to comfort and guest experience did not justify the premium pricing.

It is a very pretty location, and the staff was excellent

Cons:

Our room was really small. We had big luggage and we really could not fit. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t switch to another room. At some point this made us feel a bit uncomfortable

We enjoyed our stay and the service very much.
Pros:

The location is perfect for exploring Polanco and surrounding area. The bed was very comfortable and made with nice linens. The toiletries were nice as well. We Loved our patio and robes.

Cons:

We thought the breakfast “OK”. Tended to use nearby cafes. The water in the shower could have been hotter.

Me gustó el edificio, la decoración, cama muy cómoda y buena calidad de sábanas y toallas. Muy detallista en general!

Cons:

El desayuno. El hecho de que se un restaurante aparte tiene su impacto en el desayuno. Abre muy tarde y más el fin de semana y al final, al no ser un buffet, es lento.
Las ventanas de la habitación. Al final son ventanas interiores y no ventilan igual. Y en el caso de la habitación 1 dan muy poca sensación de privacidad.

Great choice for an adult get away in Mexico City.
Pros:

Beautiful boutique hotel with spacious rooms. Location in Polanco is excellent. Easy walking distance to many restaurants, attractions, and transit. Continental breakfast was included and included a pastry, fresh fruit, yoghurt and coffee.

There is a place for improvement for the room comfort (small thing, like a night stand with pointed lamp, instead of old fashioned table lamp will make a big difference)
