Clean, comfortable, in rural location about half hour from eateries. Nice country surroundings. Reception recommended a good restaurant/bar called Cafeteria Bidegorri, 30 minute walk from hotel, that we recommend (good vegetarian options).
When we arrived tired and wet, we found that my backpack had not been delivered. This is the first time on the whole Camino trip that this happened.
Camino Correos told us that Hotel Matsa reception did not accept our backpack delivery, saying they did not have a booking in that name.
However, we don't accept this, as before arriving at the hotel my wife had sent an email with both our full names, passport numbers, phone and address.
This caused both inconvenience and time wasting as we had to catch a train to Bilbao and go to Correos twice to try to retrieve it.
One other thing, we asked for toilet paper in the evening, and receptionist queried why we needed it as we should have one in our room. Not a good attitude.
This is a lovely rural inn and we were well cared for by the hostess. Breakfast was excellent as was the coffee!
The location. It would have been great to have better signage to know we were walking in the right direction given how far past Lezama this accommodation was. Also a little far from dinner options after walking all day!

Sehr schönes Landhotel, mit gutem Frühstück. Nahe am Flughafen, daher sehr gut erreichbar.

El trato, es excelente, te sientes,cómo si estuvieras en casa , todo está muy limpio, La situación del Hotel Matsa , cerca de las playas, y cerca de Bilbao , de 20 a 27 km, volver a repetir.

Muy limpio, bonito paisaje, bien ubicado , cerca de la ciudad centro, fácil aparcar.
muy correcto, variado, zumo natural de naranja, buen cafe, dulce y salado , además el precio razonable 9 euros X persona, y es la unica opcion porque no hay nada alrededor.
al ser el Norte, el hotel no tenia aire acondicionado porque no estan acostumbrados a que haga demasiado calor, pero en los tiempos que corren, el AC es ya imprescindible en cualquier latitud.

Un lugar tranquilo, el paisaje precioso, el personal súper amable. Cerca hay acceso euskatren que te facilita llegar al centro Bilbao.

There was a fan in the room.
It is very far from stores an restaurants which is fine, but since that is the case at least one of the following needs to be added to make the place comfortable. AC, a fridge, or an on-site restaurant.
Mooie casa met mooi park erbij. Fijn personeel. Goed bereikbaar. Met tv kamer en buitenzitje. Eigen parkeerterrein vlakbij. Tv op kamer.
Er is geen airco wat je soms toch mist in bilbao en ontbijt was erg eenvoudig. Onder aanvliegroute vliegveld maar dat stoorde niet erg.
