Beautiful hotel in the perfect location for hiking, fishing with Dory Boats and walking up Cape Kiwanda Sand Dun. Directly on the beach with great views!
It was a fabulous stay for a wedding anniversary. Romantic fire on the beach, fabulous breakfast and dinners at Meridan. Room was gorgeous, amenities were spot on. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We will be back!
This is a lovely oceanfront hotel. The rooms are modern and clean. The staff is very accomodating. The rooms have a million dollar view. Fresh coffee every morning between 6am and 7am. Many doable hikes for older folks.
Initially, we were super excited to enjoy our weekend getaway We stayed here for 2 nights. Paid over $2k in total. Our bathtub was broken, that was a really big deal for me. It was my birthday trip and I had a rough week so I was looking forward to relaxing in a bath as my evening ritual. They couldn’t do anything about it since the maintenance crew left at 9 pm. The next day they finally fixed the bath, but as a surprise I got at least 4 bugs in my berries for breakfast. They were literally crawling in my plate. They offered to “waive some fees” which came to not even $200. Very disappointed. Paid 2k for a broken bath and living organisms in my breakfast plate. Memorable birthday gateway, in a very bad way. If you want a view and don’t mind spending 2 thousand dollars for it, highly recommend. You’d be better off sleeping in a tent at the beach
Great Experience! Staff was amazing and the beach / scenery was out of this world. Proximity to the beach was great, with easy access to shops, food, and coffee. The adventure staff was great! I would highly recommend that.
What an amazing spot! This hotel was exactly what we needed - relaxing, unbeatable views, and beach right out the back door. activities were there if you wanted--art classes and guided hikes, etc but also very happy to just relax by the cape. very friendly staff! Would 100% stay again!
Our recent stay at Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful property and warm atmosphere.
The room was amazing—comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the coast. The amenities were fabulous, and every detail made our stay feel special.
The location is simply breathtaking. Being right on the Oregon coast with easy beach access and stunning views made this a truly memorable getaway.
We highly recommend Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal escape. We can't wait to come back!
Room and location were good, breakfast was BAD. Menu is limited and two of the items were not available (even granola??). Ordered avocado toast and it arrived on soft bread (they have no toaster according to the server) and runny egg whites. Server had an attitude when I explained the problem. The “adventure center” had no maps of the three capes area, which is why we were there. Prob wouldn’t stay there again.
Dinner: Found blond hair in clams (it was literally in my daughter's mouth and she had to pull it out). No one in the family has blond hair. Server apologized and gave us a new dish, still charged us for the dish with a few dollars off. They let my 25-lb dog lie on the booth bench, which was great. Next morning we sat down for breakfast, no one brought us water or anything. A table of 5 came about 5 minutes after us, was attended by the server before us. We brought the dog with us, resting on the bench just like the night before, first thing the server said "your dog can't be on the seat", and I replied "my dog was on the seat the entire dinner last night"..."well actually your dog needs to be on the other side of the booth, in the hallway". No apology for telling us contradicting information. Later on we saw dogs under the table, clearly "within" the restaurant boundary. Daughters went to breakfast separately later, and found again a blond hair in her food (even had a picture taken). Cannot recommend this restaurant with inconsistent policy enforcement, and contaminant (hair of some sort) in the food.
We would recommend staying on the 3rd floor. We stayed 6 nights in 109 and the floor above us was occupied by folks with heavy footsteps 4 of the 6 nights. Great pet friendly accommodations. Will look for different accommodations in the future. Taxes were $588 for the stay.
The good: Rooms and entire lodge are clean and well decorated. Location is great being right next to the beach and multiple hiking areas.
The bad: My room was placed next to a main stairwell and the front beach access entrance/exit. This meant nonstop loud footsteps and the access door opening and closing. And by nonstop I mean from 5am-2am as the entire staff and guests are moving about. Absolute lack of peace and quiet.
Additionally, the steam room was broken so we couldn't even access that our entire stay, and a major reason we booked here was because of the steam room. To make matters worse, our in/room bathtub leaks so it won't hold water.
The hotel offered us $100 credit, and we also had $100 for booking Chase's The Edit program. We couldn't use the credit because the resort disabled the room service menu. Also there was never anyone at the "Adventure Center" -- it was just a couple of brochures.
I booked through Chase Sapphire Reserve The Edit program paying nearly $800/night and cannot recommend this stay.
Well-appointed rooms with spectacular views, but service was nonexistent for a supposed top 5 resort in the Pacific Northwest by Conde Nast. No housekeeping, and when we asked for new towels and sheets, we stayed 5 nights, it was like we put out the team. They came into our unit, walked past our room service dishes, and did not take them. We then put them outside our room. They sat for 5 days; no one picked them up. Guest Services, aka Front Desk, couldn't answer a question; it was like they weren't properly onboarded and seemed put out when we asked them anything. Lots of "I don't know...I'm not sure..." F&B was less than what you expect at a top 5 resort in PNW; the food was bland, and the menu was limited. Sunday Brunch had nothing for children, and when asked if we could order something from the kids' menu, we were told we had only one option:" I mean it's kids' food, so easy, drop in the fryer. This is hospitality, be kind, and accommodating. "I'm not sure, let me get back to you on that. What room are you in so I can leave you a message? No problem, happy to make them a burger." The service made our stay so-so; despite the location and views, it should have been a 10/10. Maybe they had a lot of turnover? This was a May trip, and maybe they just hired...One person on the team got it: Daniel on the adventure team was kind and personable, great with children, and a go-getter. We highly recommend anything with him, specifically clamming/clam bake. Fun activity for a family of four, and he was our best meal on site with the wood-fired clam bake.
Muy amables las personas del hotel y muy amables las personas del restaurante todos son muy buenas personas y hermosa vista así al mar
Stayed here for 2 nights for a quick girls trip. This hotel is amazing! The view from your room balcony is stunning. The adventure coaches went out of their way to give us an unforgettable experience. We had a sunset beach bon fire, private crab shaking lesson and rented bikes to explore the town. The spa with steam room and hot tub were the cherry on top of the perfect stay. Highly recommend!
If you have a pup and want a truly family experience, the Headlands Costal Resort is the very best you can find. I would recommend room 111 as it has the fastest access for you and your dog to enjoy one the best beaches anywhere (long runways, firm sand and an amazing view). The in house restaurant also has special booths so your dog can dine with you. Amazing!
Views were amazing, stuff was great. Extra Pillows were already in our room before we got there. Room was beautiful - shower without door is a little weird and makes the room steamy after a hot shower though. Tub was cozy but not sure how two people fit in there Lol. Gym/wellness area was exactly what I was looking for. Hot tub was great and steam room did its thing! Food at the lodge was exceptional, and fairly priced. Shaw (our waiter) was great with advice on our travels and it was greatly appreciated.
Dogs barking in room next door.
Our stay at Headlands Resort in Pacific City, OR was exactly what we needed to reset from our busy lives. The room amenities were excellent, and the space matched the photos on the website, which immediately eased our minds. I loved using the deep soaking tub each night to wash the day away. Pacific City is a small, sleepy town where most things close early, which fit our goal just fine—but if you’re looking for active nightlife, you should pick a different resort and city. We visited on a weekend with sunny weather—still a bit chilly and breezy, as you’d expect at the beach at the end of March. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and clearly committed to making our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended for a relaxing coastal getaway.
