Views were amazing, stuff was great. Extra Pillows were already in our room before we got there. Room was beautiful - shower without door is a little weird and makes the room steamy after a hot shower though. Tub was cozy but not sure how two people fit in there Lol. Gym/wellness area was exactly what I was looking for. Hot tub was great and steam room did its thing! Food at the lodge was exceptional, and fairly priced. Shaw (our waiter) was great with advice on our travels and it was greatly appreciated.
Dogs barking in room next door.
Everything. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable, the view of the water and the haystack rock was gorgeous. The restaurant was delicious.
Nothing
This property is located at the base of Cape Kiwanda, Arguably one of the most beautiful places on the Oregon coast in my opinion. Each room is oceanfront and that is literal. The ocean is right there and you can walk down steps directly to get to the beach. At times, it feels like the waves we’re gonna lap up to the property, not really, but they’re very close.
The Hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff is high class and friendly. I was so thrilled with the service that we received because it’s not always high-quality service on the coast.
The rooms are gorgeous, and the amenities are carefully curated. There is mood lighting, a very fancy coffee pot, nice art that is well chosen and placed. There’s a lot of character in each room and throughout the property.
The clawfoot tub in the room was a very nice touch, And the glass wall in the shower was pretty cool because you could look out and see the room and the beach while taking a shower. I wouldn’t recommend sharing this room with someone you don’t want to see nude. lol!
The snack bar rooms located where the ice machines are are a very nice Touch. They have gourmet snacks at a reasonable price that you can grab and go and charge to your room on the honor system.
The restaurant was fantastic! We both had fish and it was fresh, delicious, and artfully prepared. They also offered gluten-free options and mocktails, which were a plus for me! The service at the restaurant was also very friendly, and the view was gorgeous!
The spa is very nice, with free fitness facilities, although services at the spa are a little pricy in my opinion. The hot tub is nice and overlooks the ocean and is included in the cost of the room.
OK
Lastly this property is pet friendly and that is so important to me, and many people. The quality, the location, the amenities, and the Pet friendliness make this place all worth what you pay
Everything was spectacular . Spa was amazing. Restaurant was great. Staff very nice. Room great. Very relaxing. Excellent view
Best hotel on the Pacific Coast of Oregon. Perfect location and Meridian is hands down the best restaurant. truly superb experience.
Wow what an incredible place to stay and relax for a weekend getaway. Excellent staff, room accommodations and dining experience.
I have always wanted to stay at this hotel ever since I heard about it from a friend. Overall, the hotel was nice and the service was good and personable. Rooms were well-appointed and comfortable with epic views of Haystack Rock and Cape Kiwanda. There were some issues with this trip (mainly breakfast), on Saturday I went down for breakfast and was greeted kindly, and seated right away (I think a lot of people take advantage of breakfast in the room). I received my drink and starter quickly, however; after 35 minutes of waiting and I still had not seen my main. When the waitress came back she said they only had one chef, and that my breakfast hadn't been started. While I can sympathize with short staffing, having one chef on a Saturday seems like a clear miss service wise. I cancelled my main, and went about my day. I did not partake Sunday because it looked like they were light staffed again. Prices are very high for the restaurant, but it seems like that is about average for the area as other restaurants were quite high in price as well. Small things in the room could be improved (my room was very warm, and I could not get it to cool down other than leaving the door open), and they need amenities like slippers given that they focus on relaxation there. I know I can be picky at times with my reviews, but I had just come from the Ritz Carlton in Portland, and they were 200 dollars cheaper a night so I feel like these small details matter. Overall, I might stay again (when the hot tub is working, it was closed for maintenance, if you know this hotel the hot tub is a big draw). The views alone were breathtaking and I spent hours on my balcony reading because we luckily had good weather all weekend.
Everything was exactly what we were hoping for. Exceptional views form our room, warm and friendly staff, great food, and an atmosphere of calm and comfort.
Our room was very large, plenty of space to relax. The balcony was perfect. A nice warm blanket was provided so we could just sit and stare at the sea.
Service from the staff was amazing. We felt very appreciated as guests.
If you’re looking for a beach location, any closer and you’d be in the surf. The room was nice appointed with a fireplace. Sitting area and balcony overlooking the ocean. The overall inn is beautiful. You walk into a huge open area with fireplace and Adventure concierge on the right, check in on the left and a restaurant with ocean views just beyond. Clearly a place worth coming back.
Great for pet owners and the view was amazing. Convenient vegan food nearby. Easy to walk dogs around town. Spa and Becky’s massage were lovely.
A friend recommended Headlands to us and we would recommend visiting this hotel as a destination visit. The view from this property is exquisite as are the rooms. Definitely have a fire on the beach. 100% recommend.
What a stunningly, beautiful location for this intimate hotel. For a moment, sitting by the lobby fireplace, I felt like it was more of a 2nd home than a hotel. The rooms are well appointed, offering a comfortable night's sleep. Thoughtful amenities like hot cocoa and truffles (yum) at the front desk in the evenings, the pantry for late night snacks (+ Hydration) and great dining experiences (and service) at Meridien. Don't miss out on a spa treatment, my massage with Oliver was therapeutic and sensational!
Great stay. Terrific service. Room was amazing with lots of nice touches. Food was very good. Beach is beautiful and I loved the free beach bikes.
Loved the location next to the Haystack and views of the Big dune. Loved being on right on the beach with easy access and great views of the surfers and Dory boats.. Food was excellent. My pup had a wonderful time!
Wonderful, relaxing.
This is an experience you will never forget! Highly recommended! I’m coming back every year and can’t get enough! Perfect place to relax and retreat
We hadn’t been to Pacific City in ten years and loved making a return visit. The Headlands was such a special place to stay!
Beautiful view and accommodation!
Loved this place so much - the food, the views, the in room bath and it is dog-friendly! I already can't wait to return over different seasons!!
Headlands is a luxury resort that has excellent facilities and great rooms with fantastic views. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom truly luxurious. The amenities include beach wraps as well as robes and other beach gear. The restaurant has great food and service — but on our second night the kitchen fell
way behind leaving us a long wait for our dinners. Everything else was phenomenal and made up for this one glitch.
