Great stay, excellent location and staff were so friendly and helpful.
Great location and the beds were comfortable.
Me and my girlfriend both had diarrhoea the day after having a cup of tea to realise the milk was 2 months past its best before date
Felt safe and bed were very comfortable with enough pillows
No mirror in the room and the cleaners did not come in the two days we were there
The room was clean and spacious. The location was not for us.
The location was not for us. The noise surrounding the hotel was far too noisy and went on until 1.30am. Now if you are a party going and are out drinking and making lots of noise then please do join them and stay here. If you want a nice night away do not stay here.
Good location
No air con, rude staff at breakfast, rooms were dirty
Hotel was easy to find, parking was adequate, and the location was central to all attractions around the area.
The nightclub music late into the night nearby.
The location was great, it was easy to check in and out , the room was clean and nice
Too hot with windows shut and too noisy with windows open. The temperature in the room was 30 degrees
Location
Lack of parking, lack of temperature control in rooms, shower scaled up so almost no jets working.
Room was great, facilities where great
The price. Just feel for what we got was not what we paid for.
La posizione molto comoda e centrale, se vi muovete con i mezzi scendete a Colchester town e sarete vicinissimi. La fermata Colchester è molto più lontana. Vari locali in zona.
The actual location within Colchester is good. The room itself was nice and clean and a reasonable size. The housekeeping staff were fine.
The outside noise, shouting, screaming and moaning, from homeless and drug affected people made it difficult to sleep. It is also confronting and intimidating to have to tiptoe around these people when they are camped literally outside the hotel front. The hotel is not staffed other than when the cleaners are in attendance. The automatic sliding front doors take an age to close behind you after entering with the key card, so long in fact that we were startled by three people running through those doors from the across the street behind us just to get inside before the doors closed. What with putting up with the anti-social people outside and the feeling of being unsafe from lack of security we requested a move across the road to the George Hotel. Fortunately the reception staff there reviewed their CCTV footage and could understand our concerns. We moved to a room in the George Hotel and immediately felt much safer. The lack of aircon can be an issue. A fan in the bathroom is needed for the toilet and shower, which steamed up the mirror. We would not open the windows because of street noise.
