Was clean and convenient
The staff was polite. I do not think that the words "Continental Breakfast" should be used, because it is misleading. The lady Michelle was wonderful, but basically it's a heavy meal served in your aunt's kitchen. I chose this place for the location, but pictures are deceptive. The supposed "window" that the room had, was not a window. It opened up to a dark wall outside. Nothing to see. We thought there was a lounge upstairs, when we asked, the guy said, oh thank you for reminding me, I have to take down the picture. It's no longer there. The sink sits on top of the pedestal that is not bolted. I told them it's hazardous if someone leans on it, because I barely leaned on it and it tilted. I don't expect it will be fixed. The bathroom drain stinks. The smell was so disgusting, we placed a towel on the drain. I guess it's from the outside pipes. They asked if I wanted them to pour Fabuloso down the drain, we said no. We did not use the Microwave nor the Refrigerator, because who cleans those things with a disinfectant like Fabuloso? Food goes in there. The kicker was, the night before we left, my hubby ordered room service. When he took the food from the attendant, she asked him if he was going to give her a tip (how rude. She didn't even wait). He gave her a $1000 Guyana bill. She looked at him with disgust. Did not even say thank you and walked away with an attitude. Let's just say this place is not for me. Leticia, the receptionist and I think the guy is the manager, they are nice.
Liked the location.didnt like too many stairs
Staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous.
Nice to return to the Manor. As always, Ryan and Ali were very helpful and pleasant. However, although pleasant enough, the staff at reception came up short: they didn't seem to know how much to charge me or how to calculate the number of nights I was staying, and when I asked if they could lend me a kettle, they said no and failed to inform me that the property has hot water dispensers on the premises (suggesting instead I go to the market and buy a microwave-friendly bowl so that I can heat water in the microwave). They also lost my room key.
My room (on the fourth floor) also seemed to be in need of some attention: the sink was loose.
No-one helps u with ur bags up all those stairs
The staff were very friendly but the property is in need of decorating and updating. There is no bar just a fridge in the reception area where you can buy a beer (cash only) and sit outside next to the road. The bar on the top floor is closed and has been for some time.
Breakfast is not good (give it a miss) and definitely not continental.
Had to pay on arrival and once booked in it was too difficult to move as I was only there for a week, but won't be booking again.
LOCATION
The property is conveniently located within walking distance of the main shopping area. The accommodation was quite up to date.
Breakfast is served fro 8.00 am therefore a hot water apparatus in room can be beneficial
Accessible to business surroundings
The customer service provided was exceptional. Jessica when above and beyond our expectations in facilitating our arrival form the US, including transport to the hotel. The property is in decent condition but we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. Although the hotel was kind enough to allow us to change rooms, cleanliness was a major issue for us. Hence my reason for giving 3 stars. I would say this is a good and affordable hotel to stay.
The rooms are outdated, the carpet was dirty and stained. The carpet also was separated, not sure if it was repaired and not done correctly.
Hospitable staff
Staff are very friendly, room is clean although somehow dated, breakfast is very mediocre, food in general at the hotel is not really worth it but it’s fine for a short stay. It has a warm shower after all :)
Close to all shops. Very central.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
