Great stay and would stay again

The hotel was lovely. Great location for our needs.

Cons:

The telephone in the room did not work. The air conditioning was extremely loud. The light on the desk was broken and would not shut off. I had to unplug everything.

The hotel lobby is clean amd modern, the rooms however are in a serious need of renovation, cracked tiles, sticky carpet, wallpaper and paint peeling in many places, power outlet not securely attached to wall, coffee stains on the bedside table, safe in room broke on first use, tv didnt work and we gave up asking after day 3, . The carpet along the hallways is crumpled. Breakfast was abysmal, a dry pastry or muffin if you didnt get down there by 06.45 when the fresh ones are gone, a choice of banana or orange, either a coffee or a juice, you can't have both.

i would stay here again.

Although there was a lot of construction going on here, we had a good stay. the location was the best part. the beds were very comfortable. windows were almost sound proof.

Do not stay here during the renovations
Pros:

Location is handy. Close to most attractions and Subway Stations to Downtown and Uptown. Local to a variety of places to eat. Restaurants and street food. Proximity to bus tours, and there is a bureau de change close by I'd you need to change money.

Cons:

The property is under renovation and to be honest the older rooms look are not only old and worn but unkept. Absolutely disgusting for the money spent lack of value.

I was given a room with a lopsided bed; the base fabric was worn and torn. The fire alarm was loose demo the wall and you could see the wiring. The sprinklers in the room and dust that looked like it had been there for years. The light stands has water marks and dust. The furniture was scratched to the point it looked vandalised. The full length mirior was cracked in the bathroom. The draw spaces wwee disgusting. The base of one of the draws looked like it had been saturated with water or a substance of some sort that defaced it. The carpet was worn and there were stains. Also, the wallpaper was torn and peeling and looked like it was defaced on areas. Absolutely disgusting! I complained to see if I could be moves to a more modern and comfortable room I was told no, I could be changes to a room that could be of the same calibre or sit in the lobby wait for a refund and find somewhere else to stay. After an 8 hour flight from the comfort of your home. Really bad treatment. Not a reflection on the customer service but the staff seem a bit frustrated on from desk; probably a reflection of the amount of complaints they receive. I was not the only person who felt disappointed when they say their rroom.

I wanted ice, the I've machine wasn't working on my floor. The machine looked defaced missing a panel above so the I've was exposed. I thought I would go a floor down; the machine was not working. My room was on the 14th floor. I then headed up to the 15th floor, same thing. It was broken. I made it to the 18th floor and the machine waa working ut the lack of care ; the floor was completely soaked. I had to remove a sock to lean in and get the ice bucket filled as I was fed up of what felt like Russian Roulette. Upon seeing other floors, doors looked like they had holes in them.
