Pros:

Comfortabele- en schone kamer, vriendelijk personeel, meer dan uitstekend restaurant, echt een aanrader! Uitstekend ontbijt met een supervriendelijke gastvrouw!

Cons:

Badkuip in de slaapkamer; het staat leuk maar wie zit daarop te wachten? Onhandig sluitende gordijnen vanwege genoemde badkuip en een hoekbank welke voor de gordijnen staat. Geen flesje water op de kamer (wel tegen betaling in de mini-bar) maar kraanwater volstaat uiteraard ook.

Wenn der Neubau mal fertig ist, dann bestimmt auch toll. So aber Bilder Hui, und im Altbau naja!
Pros:

Parkplätze gab es genug und kosteten nichts. Die kleinen grünen Glaskacheln in der Dusche waren hübsch.
Was ich extrem toll fand, bzw. wen, das war die Chefdame beim Frühstück. Ich habe selten jemand so in einem Hotel-/Gastroumfeld erlebt, die so alert, sicher, umfassend gut "drauf" und kompetent war. Sie hatte den ganzen Frühstücksbetrieb anfangs allein komplett im Griff, sah hier ein etwa 12-jähriges Gastmädchen, das nicht wusste, wie sie selbst eine frische Waffel zubereiten solle, kein Problem, "warte, das machen wir geschwind zusammen", "Ihre Spiegeleier kommen gleich" und sie wußte richtig beim losen Tee Bescheid. "Was mögen Sie denn für Tee", ich "einen parfümierten Sencha" , "Ja, da hab ich den und den", ich "Prima, darf ich den mal riechen?", "Ja, kein Thema", "Oh, der ist toll, dann hätte ich davon maximal 1,5 Teelöffel auf die Kanne (Anmerkung: weil die meisten dann viel zu viel Tee in das Teesieb packen, da kann sich der Tee nicht entfalten und überpowert seinen eigenen Geschmack)", sagt sie "Nein, wir nehmen maximal einen Teelöffel auf die Kanne, das schmeckt sonst nicht!". Da war ich platt. Diese Bedienstete hätte ich am liebsten sofort abgeworben, das war Achtung: Weltklasse! Quereinsteigerin, hat sieben Kinder großgezogen und das hat man sowas von gemerkt. Ich bin noch geplättet. Hätte gerne mal ihre Kinder erlebt, die müßten eine Wonne sein. Diese Damen war toll, clever und wollte jetzt und hier dort sein. Hoffentlich ließt das einer der Chefs!

Cons:

Ich wähle gewöhnlich meine Hotels so, dass ich mich außer zum Schlafen auch so gerne ein paar Stunden auf dem Zimmer würde aufhalten wollen, sei es, um mich von der Fahrt zu erholen, den Gedanken nachzuhängen oder nochmal zu duschen. Ich würde nach meiner Booking-Suche denken, dass das Hotels eine der Topadressen, wenn nicht die Topadresse in Gießen ist, das kostet dann in der Regel auch was mehr. Mein Zimmer war im "alten" Teil des Hotels, das in eine alte Industrielocation integriert war. Ich fand das Zimmer gut, aber Mitnichten war das ein € 200,- / Nacht Zimmer und auch das Frühstück war es nicht.
Der neue Teil, der an das alte Industriegelände angeflanscht wird, scheint sich noch im Bau zu befinden, im Innenhof sah es so aus.
Ich fand das Zimmer hätte auch in einem Motel1 sein können und deren Preise wären hier angebracht gewesen.

Cons:

Man hört alles was im Flur passiert, es gibt nur zwei Fitnessgeräte. Die eine Dame hat überhaupt nichts über Hotel erzählt. Es gibt nicht mal Wasserkocher im Zimmer .

Pros:

The staff were mostly very friendly.

Cons:

The "luxury" room (free upgrade) was large and had a memorable design. But it is not so suitable for business travelers who might prefer a better-sized table for eating takeout, a waste basket, or free water over an exposed tub possibility meant for newlyweds on their wedding night.
So overall, despite the free upgrade, the hotel was very expensive for the amenities offered.
