Everything! It was wonderful start to finish. Terrace was great for photos. Restaurant was so good, staff were knowledgeable. Chef spoke with us on the way out. It felt like we were treated like family. The location next to Pike place was so nice. Walking distance to many things like the Seattle Art Museum, and the International district.

Excellent property. Great location. Wonderful staff.
The breakfast was delicious. The location was outstanding.
The dinner was not to my liken. The wait staff was very slow.
Close to pike market
This hotel is conveniently located. Easy walk to Pike Place Market or shopping - Nordstrom etc. The restaurant Ben Paris is wonderful for both breakfast and dinner. The hotel employed a guest photographer, with props, for New Year’s Eve fun which was a great touch. The rooms are well appointed but not large. The staff was welcoming.
Staff is amazing. Location is perfect for walking to food, drinks, or fun. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Love the big windows in the rooms
great location, great service, felt special
A centrally located hotel in downtown Seattle, without the fuzz and posh that go with the really high-class, and accordingly expensive, hotels, but with a standard, atmosphere and nice staff that makes the stay worth its while.
Great downtown location. Welcoming staff and beautiful entry made arriving a lovely experience. Room is spacious and comfortable and bathroom is huge and spotless. Peekaboo views of Elliott Bay and Pike Place Market from the room and elevator lobby are gorgeous. Affiliated restaurant, Ben Paris, is wonderful - great menu, good service and delicious food. Highly recommend!
Just left The State Hotel after a great Christmas week stay. The staff is very friendly and down to earth, the hotel has a comfortable lobby that feels like home, location can’t be beat as it’s steps from Pike Place and other Seattle attractions including the ferry and Space Needle and Ben Paris restaurant was wonderful too. We had a 3. Course Prime Rib Christmas Eve dinner there that couldn’t be beat. I didn’t think the room felt small - at least 817 didn’t - and it had coffee, refrigerator, hair dryer and a beautiful water view.
Nice clean rooms, hot water, nice view, conveniently15 minute walk to Stadium and Pikes market. Nice restaurant and bar on site. Really nice hotel with a friendly staff. We had a great stay for the Seahawks game.
This hotel has everything you could possibly need and then more! The rooms themselves were a bit small, however, they had loads of character and had all the amenities that I needed and were presented in a very luxurious manner. The staff were extremely helpful and timely and the on-site restaurant was absolutely delicious. I came for a staycation with my mom for the night and we loved the location of the hotel, the amenities, and felt that the price was incredibly fair for everything the hotel has to offer. I am already planning my trip back!
Finding the State hotel was a gold mine. Perfect location, and amenities I felt like I was staying in a bespoke man cave. The room decor was modern while curated for solo travelers looking for a newer take on a historic neighborhood.
Great service and most of all very convenient to all attractions. The restaurant downstairs, Ben Paris, was reasonably priced and the quality of food was very good.
We stayed two nights and had a great stay. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Will be back again next time we visit Seattle.
Close to the the Showbox and dinner at Dough Zone, parked the car and didn't have to worry about a thing. A night out in Seattle was awesome.
The front desk staff at check in were so friendly(Cara and Jesse) and welcoming to me! The room was clean and spotless and I slept great! Right by the market and tons of great restaurants. Highly recommend it!
Location and restaurant/bar.
Room would not stay at a comfortable temp.
