Front desk lady was great.
Pillows were old, flat and musty smell. Bed was lumpy.
This Hampton Inn is in a great location and close to Portsmouth. The staff was amazing. We had traveled for over 5 hours, and the staff was welcoming and helped us with dinner recommendations. In addition, we were told of several places to visit, which we did. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was nice. If you visit, stop by the trading post and get donuts from Love Birds.
The staff and hotel were nice and clean, and close to Portsmouth, which we visited the following day. The only problem we had was that our bathroom sink drained very slowly.
The room smelled of old stinky socks. The sheets didn't smell clean.
The staff was outstanding.
Unable to use hotel computer/printer the whole stay.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, which made a long travel day much easier.
Our accessible room was excellent. It was clean, comfortable, and felt recently updated, with plenty of space to move around and thoughtful accessibility features that made our stay much more enjoyable. Everything was well maintained and we had a great night's sleep.
One thing we especially appreciated was how dog-friendly the hotel is. After seeing how welcoming they were to pets, we wished we had brought our dogs along for the trip.
Overall, this was a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming place to stay, and we would happily return the next time we're in the area
I paid $232 for a June 12 reservation months in advance of a trip to Iceland. Unfortunately, just hours before my (6 hour) flight was to return home, the flight was cancelled and could not be rebooked until 2 days later. I immediately called the hotel (approximately noon EST) to see if they could change my reservation to the 14th. First they said no, because I had booked through a third party, my CC company. I then called my CC company who said they would contact the hotel while I waited on line. For an hour+ I was told repeatedly that this supervisor or that supervisor would address the problem. I said I would take any room they had, I was eventually told that there were no rooms available on the 14th so the reservation would be cancelled and I was out the $232 and would have to find another hotel to stay in. Out of curiosity, I looked on line to see if any rooms were in fact available at this hotel on the 14th. Numerous choices came up. I was lied to, given no accommodation while already in a stressful situation and could only speak to their "third party" scheduler. I have used this hotel several times in the past but will NEVER, EVER use this hotel again!
Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Unfortunately didn't get great sleep as the truck noise all night long was loud. 😕
Very loud noise from tractor trailers all night long. They need to upgrade their windows.
The staff were super helpful and really nice. I asked them for a can opener, and while they didn't have one to let be borrow, the receptionist took the can and opened it for me with a smile.
Plus, the room was HUGE!!
No gluten free options at breakfast
Clean
Noisy
The staff were incredibly nice. The room was well put together when we arrived. However, our stay was for 5 days. The housekeeping staff never came in to bring new towels or toilet paper. We also chose this hotel partially due to its listing of a heated saltwater pool. The pool was neither of those things. It was ice cold and full of chlorine.
Nothing
I had no idea pet friendly meant the rooms would smell like dog urine. Even the hallways and elevators smelled soo bad. The noise from the highway was awful
Excellent location, spacious room, every detail seems to be of high quality. The stuff was willing to let me a (very) early check in with no prior request. Recommended!
Breakfast could be more varied
We were able to secure a large room with desk, wet bar, and king bed. A tremendous amount of space. But the true highlights of this hotel are the women who work at the front desk. I wish I had their first names but from check in to asking a follow up question, the two women were both friendly, FUNNY, and incredibly helpful. This is the type of customer service that is so welcoming in the travel industry. We used this hotel as our jumping off point to Salem (1 hr) and Southern Maine (Freeport 75 min).
The breakfasts were good.
The bed was too high for an elder or shorter person to get into comfortably. The walk-in shower also not good for an elder person especially if they have balance or health issue, and need a way to sit down. Didn't like the bathroom faucet angled the way it was. Very difficult to use and rinse hands, etc.
