My experience at Heritage Hotel Suites was fantastic. This boutique hotel captures the essence of Nepali heritage through its antique décor and thoughtful design, while still offering modern-day comforts. Each suite is cozy, elegant, and reflects the country’s history.
Located in a scenic, historic area, the hotel offers easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shops. The staff provided outstanding service, making sure my stay was perfect.
For a one-of-a-kind Nepali boutique hotel experience, Heritage Hotel Suites is an absolute must. Highly recommend it to any traveler!
The worst possible hotel in Pokhara, Nepal. DO NOT CALL THIS A 4 STAR HOTEL, DOES NOT DESERVE EVEN 1 STAR!!!!! Pathetic service & horrible owner/director (despite knowing the issues, did not help - just sat there).
We were a group of 45 friends and family including senior citizens, who booked the hotel with the only condition that we are given rooms in the new block with lifts. At the day of the checkin, they did not give us rooms in the new block with 100s of excuses despite seeing the senior citizens present which did not have a lift too.
Pathetic food, horrible quality, no variety and very rude staff. Road side food is better than paying through your nose for this pathetic hotel. The 1st day the buffet food was completely over, the hotel staff were least bothered and did not compensate forget refuelling the food at the counter.
Only 1 person was there - to help with the bags, to help with the restaurant and room service. Cook cum bottle washer, no proper staff at the property. Women felt very unsafe and not comfortable.
No water in the room bathrooms, despite requesting the reception multiple times. They gave us a very tough time and a very unpleasant stay.
Do not go by the pictures, it is all an eye-wash or the location, it is a sub-standard hotel that doesn't deserve a visit and your hard earned money.
On the day of our check-out, the staff and owner did not open the gate due to some payment issue which was already cleared and did not reflect in their systems due to some internal error for them. They kept all 45 of us sitting in the lobby, without letting anyone leave the main gate. Furthermore, we had to put our own bags into the bus without any help from the hotel support staff. It was very difficult for senior citizens and women travelling with us, very uncomfortable too.
I write this on behalf of 45 well-travelled members who are willing to write their own 45 individual reviews, but consider this a review from all of us.
As a travel agent, I will never book this property for anyone or suggest it to any individual travelling to Pokhara.
I had a great short stay at the Heritage Hotel. It's in a nice location, not too far from the main street and the lake. Staff are incredibly nice and accommodating (for example, wifi wasn't working in my room so they switched my room!)
The building is a bit old with old decor, but it has its charm! Rooms are clean!
We had a great stay with our teenage kids at this Hotel. The hotel has lovely gardens, really interesting architecture and furnishings, the rooms are big, airy and spacious and the kids loved the pool after weeks of Trekking. Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful and the location is excellent, only a few minutes to the lake, restaurants and shops.
Property was amazing with beautiful outdoor area. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating.
Our stay at the Heritage Hotel was a wonderful experience for us. The Heritage is full of charm and history. The hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Pokhara, but in a quiet street about a minutes walk away from the main street.
The staff went out of their way to look after us and did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was really good with quite a wide choice, including a full English b/f! And the dining area itself was lovely. Our room had a lovely view of the interior grounds of the hotel, and the room colours were very relaxing.
When we had to leave very early on our departure day the staff arranged to have our breakfast neatly packed in convenient take-away containers so we were able to eat it later that morning in comfort when we stopped on our way back to Kathmandu. What great service - totally unexpected but really appreciated!
We highly recommend this hotel. And we will definitely stay there again the next time we visit Pokhara.
Few thoughts after a week of stay. The property itself is a quite nice boutique style hotel near the lake. While the staff at the front desk were always super helpful the place is not without issues. The biggest problem is probably the nightclub on the adjacent plot behind the hotel. Most nights of the week the crowd spills out to courtyard so expect decent amount of noise around 4am. Friday was the worst as it went on until 6am. And this was with windows closed. Everyone in our group whose room was on that side of the hotel complained about this. The daily cleaning is so so. One day while my bed was made, the empty water bottles were not replaced, garbage bins were not emptied and no fresh towels were given even though the old ones were wet on a pile on the floor of the bathroom. We only had lunch once at the hotel. After it took 1 hour 15 minutes for a simple lunch order to arrive we decided it's easier to eat outside.
Excellent stay. Beautiful rooms. Delicious food. Great ambiance. Promt service. I will recommend to my friends and travel agents to consider their stay here. Very convenient location having perfect neighbor hood.
Namaste
Covid has stopped people travelling for a few years and it is only now starting to return to normal. Many places suffered as a result and the Heritage is doing its best to recover from the shutdowns. The rooms are well appointed and the staff are the friendliest and most welcoming I have come across post Covid. If you are intending to come to Nepal and Pokhara, then you cant go past the Heritage for quality and service, Sanjay and his staff looked after us well and if there was any issue they did their best to sort it out for us.
Thank you for making our stay memorable and we wish you every success in rebuilding after covid.
Our stay at the Heritage Hotel was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the breakfast included with the package. The staffs were accommodating. However, the room service was slow at times and our dinner arrived 2 hours late one night.
Been travelling to Nepal for over 40 years with many stays in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Staying at the Heritage Hotel Suites and Spa was a real eye opener. This hotel is built and designed in the traditional Nepalese way highlighting wonderful architecture and layout but with all the modern and 5 star conveniences.
A boutique hotel which means a very personalised service. From the reception, to the restaurant and all other staff, always felt extremely welcome.
The location excellent. A short walk to the main street of Pokhara and lakeside. Yet once you enter the hotel grounds, you feel as if you are in a totally different environment. Quiet and relaxing. The grounds and pool make for a perfect place just to chill out
Ate at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Normally avoid hotel food, but in this case, highly recommend you dine in.
Guarantee I will return. Often lead treks in Nepal and will certainly take my next group here to experience this exceptional hotel.
I stayed here one night during a motorcycle trip to Lo Manthang. This is a wonderful hotel that is more than meets the eye - walk through the reception and into the grounds and you see a grand heritage building looming at you. Every aspect of the hotel has been furnished with some quality and bespoke decor items. The staff are courteous and respectful.
Had the breakfast and room service here, which was about one may expect from a hotel of this scale and level.
Overall, a great place to stay if you're visiting Pokhara.
Nice hotel, although not fully operational. After renovation, it should should show a pretty good standard.
Very nice place but the breakfast need to be done better!
And the hotel need to be renovable
We really enjoyed staying at the Heritage Hotel Suites and Spa in Pokhara. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and the rooms are beautifully designed by incorporating some cultural and typical nepali aspects into the design and furniture. The rooms were always very clean, tidy, the water hot enough for a nice shower, the jacuzzi in our junior suite was perfectly working and we even got some fruits, wine and cheese as welcome gift! The staff was always very friendly and helpful, the breakfast delicious and the pool a real dream! Overall we can only recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for an expectional experience, a place to completely recover and relax. We also got an upgrade to an even more luxurious suite for free for our last night :) We'll be back!!!!
After 2 weeks in the Annapurna Circuit we were desperate for a couple of days of luxury, and then we came across the Heritage hotel Pokhara. Right from the beginning you feel you have traveled back in time, the old world architecture, wooden furnishings and traditional Nepalese artifacts feel your more of in a museum rather than a hotel lobby. The room too gave you the old world vibe, with all amenities you expect from a hotel of this class. Lots of switches in the room might take time getting used to though. Breakfast was fulfilling with plenty of Western choices on offer.
Sadly we did not use the pool as the temperature was not favorable being winter in Nepal. The staff were friendly and tried hard to please but could be trained far better.
To sum it up it was the best hotel stay we had in our month long trip to Nepal and would gladly come back.
Ok hotel for the location, but we would never stay here again. The room and overall hotel is aesthetically pleasing. However, there was no hot water both nights and the bathroom smelled bad (but this is hard to avoid in the area). We informed them of this and they kindly offered to move us, so that was a reasonable experience. We wouldn’t return because on their website and hotel directory they say you have access to the facilities of the spa without stating a written price or discussing it with you beforehand. They surprise charged us 6800 rupees for us to use the sauna and steam room for less than an hour both nights we stayed. When we stated that no one had told us a set price ahead of time, they insisted that we pay. Had we known that ahead of time, we would not have paid as much as we did for the hotel and we would not have used the sauna or steam room. In the interest of saving time at checkout we generously paid for one of the nights (the first night we had given the requested hour heads up but the steam room was not turned on and sauna never got hot, the second night they turned the sauna eventually got hot after a while but they still didn’t turn on the steam room ahead of time). As a review for the spa facility, there was minor wear and tear on the sauna and steam room which would have been a fine add on to the hotel but a murky hot tub with a shelf of junk directly in front of the sauna and steam room, no towels set out, no access to the women’s room, and no attendants or extra effort made it more absurd for them to charge this much with no warning. You are better off staying at Hotel Da Yatra (better price, hot water, no smell, clearly marked prices). We gave this feedback to the person at the front desk and we will follow up with the manager, so they have the opportunity to work on this for future guests and rectify it with us.
This hotel is still being built. There is no visible construction in the rooms or nearby, but it is very clear that there is work in progress.
The rooms are really pretty, full of nice colorful touches and details very appropriate for a boutique hotel; however there are issues that will not ruin anyone’s stay, but might be too challenging for some people: the main one is the bathroom:
- The shower heads are low, very low if you’re 5’10” or taller there is no way you can take a regular shower in these rooms. You will need to use the hand held shower hose.
- The bathtub doesn’t have a curtain and it’s not large enough to contain the water while you shower - which means lots of water on the floor and the toilet after a shower. I chose not to take a bath because there was a deep crack in the exterior of the tub and I didn’t want to take a chance of a flooded bathroom in the middle of the night after my very long trek in the Himalayas.
- The water temperature is very low: I don’t like my water too hot, but kept waiting for it to warm up enough and it never did.
The hotel and staff are nice, and full of potential to be a great place: we will visit again and try to assess progress of the project.
Breakfast: the first day of our stay it was buffet, the second time a la carte. No tummy issues and an interesting mix of Nepali and Western choices.
I really liked the decor and the patio leading to the dinning area!
After staying 10 days in the Himalayan Teahouses this place was amazing, but people shouldn’t expect a perfect stay. Please keep in mind this feedback is for a stay during Jan 2020.
I have nothing but high praises for this place. Its located on 15th street and very close to lake. No more than 10mins walk to lake. Beautiful decor both in the hotel and inside the room. Very traditional nepalese decor, I guess it stays true to its "heritage". Staff were very friendly and checked us in in less than 5 mins to our room. Our reservation included a complimentary breakfast. I can honestly say that it's one of those few places where you feel like the breakfast was well worth the money you pay for the stay. Mostly vegetarian food with some meat options as well. We didn't get time to use the pool or other amenities at the hotel but I would guess they are wonderful as well. There are plenty of stores with in 5 mins walk from the hotel. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Pokhara
Very friendly and helpful staffs, big room with full facilities, delicious breakfast. I just loved my stay there. Close to Phewa lake side, coffee shops, souvenir shops. The only thing that annoyed me was the wifi connection. The rest are just lovely!
