Room was lovely, very clean and bed was really comfortable. For the price we paid and location we needed it was perfect. Would definately stay again.
Comfortable with excellent location for us. We traveled by train to Chester, then to Gobowen where we were able to get a bus to Ellesmere - and just a four or five minute walk to the accommodation. We were less than 10min walk to Blackwater Marina to pick up our canal boat, and also a few minutes walk to a big Tescoes and local laundromat. Ticked all of our boxes!

Comfortable bed
Very basic for the price, hasn’t been decorated in decades, noise of fights in beer garden. Although the room was a good size it wasn’t worth the money at all.
No breakfast option
Central location
Room in the attic no head room to sit up in bed. No wardrobe. I was part of a larger group and considering I booked 1st, we ended up with the worst room.
They don't provide breakfast
This was a clean and comfortable room for a very reasonable price and the cooked breakfast was excellent.
The good points are that the room was clean and hotel central.
The bad points are that the hotel is very run down and nothing like the website photos. The furniture is old and cheap. The mattresses so soft they offer no support. The facilities are minimal. Staff sullen and grudging. Avoid as much better hotels & inns available.
Brilliant Pub, Amazing staff and Stunning Surroundings.
We only stayed for 2 nights but would of loved to stay longer. Staff were attentive and welcoming. We were very impressed by our room which was extremely spacious with a large shower room and even a sauna in the room. Our Bed was so comfy and the pub was full of friendly locals. We were slightly worried when we arrived as there was limited parking spaces for the hotel itself however immediately next door was a huge public carpark which was free after 6pm and only cost £1 until 10am. Really enjoyed the Karaoke on our first night, and Played some pool on Saturday. Overall would defiantly stay again.

Clean and warm room and friendly reception
Unfortunately the shower didn’t seem to work properly, I couldn’t get cold water up so it was scalding and too hot to use.

No food available at hotel.
Shower seized up unable to lower shower head and flow of water was a trickle.
Nice friendly staff lovely room and area and excellent price would definitely stay again when in the area
