Lovely apartment 5k from lucca
Pros:

Apartment was good, we were on first floor ( would try to get ground floor in future as then better for outside dining). Air con worked well. Every bedroom
Had a bathroom which was fab. Ours apartment lacked a proper seating area in the living room. A lack of hot water in the morning.
Sun loungers could do with being replaced as could not alter height ( I know not a big issue ) but we sat on the chairs most of the time. Pool area was nice.
Great gelateria 400m away, for ice cream and morning coffee and cakes; could use bus to get into lucca but ideally need a car as road is v busy to walk to any of the couple of local restaurants.

Terrible experience
Pros:

Close to lucca

Cons:

AC doesnt work as part of unit amenities. With the summer heat of Tuscany, you cant stay without AC with the unit.
The host failed to provide the unit per booking, the host also never reply to my message on Booking.com about the refund of 4/5 nights and our tourist tax

Pros:

We stayed at Tenuta San Giovanni for a wedding. The Wedding venue was at a nearby location.
Upon arrival, the host greeted us with a friendly smile, provided us with our keys, and stated our room name and floor number. Once we got to the door, we were unable to open it with the provided key. The key was a problem throughout our stay. I asked for assistance, and the host opened the room with an air of arrogance as if it should have been easy to open.
Our room was clean and had a small kitchen with Refrigerator.
The air conditioning controls were broken in two of our bedrooms, with no instructions on how to use them. The rooms remained stuffy throughout our stay.
One room had a small bed that had slats for the frame. The slats fell out each time you sat on the bed, and even with "fixing" them numerous times during the night, it was like sleeping on a mattress shaped like a "v".
We asked for more toilet paper during our stay. We were instructed to go to reception. No one was at reception, so I messaged to get the toilet paper provided. We never received additional toilet paper.

Goede locatie, ongezellige appartementen
Pros:

De locatie is goed, op korte afstand van Lucca en je bent ook snel in Pisa. De omgeving zelf is rustig in de heuvels. Het zijn grote slaapkamers en maar liefst 3 badkamers.

Cons:

Het is een functioneel appartement, maar niet gezellig. TL-licht, basis plastic tafels en stoelen, geen zithoek, etcetera. Wij zaten op de eerste verdieping en daar heb je ook geen balkon. De appartementen beneden hebben wel een terrasje. Er zit geen vaatwasser in. Wij waren in het voorjaar toen het zwembad nog niet open was, in de zomer zal het wel een fijn zwembad zijn. Kortom; voor op doorreis of als je vooral in de steden bent is het prima, maar dan zijn er tegelijkertijd waarschijnlijk wel gezelligere accommodaties te vinden. Wij hadden voor 3 nachten geboekt maar zijn 1 nacht eerder weggegaan.
