Una realtà diversa dalla descrizione
Pros:

Bella struttura in zona di campagna, molto silenziosa e in buona posizione strategica.

Cons:

Ho prenotato un appartamento con due camere separate. Solo al mio arrivo ho scoperto che le due camere erano sì separate da una porta, ma che chi soggiornava nella camera in fondo - oltre a non avere un armadio o una struttura per appendere i propri vestiti - doveva per forza passare dalla prima camera per andare in bagno o uscire dall’appartamento. Quando ho fatto notare l’incongruenza, mi è stato risposto che non avevo esplicitato la mia esigenza di avere due camere autonome, come se fosse normale che si debba passare dalla stanza da letto di un’altra persona se uno si sveglia per andare in bagno durante la notte… Poi mi è stato detto che “la nostra natura è affittare appartamenti e non camere”, che non ho ancora capito bene cosa significhi. Ho chiesto - anche perché per messaggio mi era stata dichiarata una disponibilità in tal senso - di avere un’altra collocazione ma non ho mai ricevuto una risposta. Naturalmente, se è la normalità pagare per un appartamento con due camere separate per ritrovarsi con due camere una dentro l’altra e se io sono stato poco accorto nel non informarmi di questa eventualità, ritiro tutto quello che ho detto. Tralascio che nella descrizione della camera erano previste una lavatrice e una cabina armadio, inesistenti, e che al mio arrivo ho trovato un “kit di benvenuto per rendere più piacevole il tuo soggiorno” che consisteva in una spugnetta e un campione di “detersivo per il lavaggio manuale di stoviglie”. Ognuno ha la propria legittima idea di piacevolezza e, come si dice, a caval donato non si guarda in bocca, ma non mi è sembrata una grande scelta di marketing. Non ne avevo bisogno, quindi poco male. Il mio consiglio per chi vuole affittare un appartamento in questa struttura è di verificare la disposizione delle stanze e - se vi serve qualcosa di specifico elencato nella descrizione dell’appartamento -l di richiederlo prima per evitare spiacevoli sorprese.

A picturesque & quiet location, close to lovely Lucca
Pros:

The family running this venue are lovely. When we arrived the daughter, Sophia, showed us two options of apartment. We didn't need all of the space we were offered but were very happy to spread out. I swam in the pool and it was very clean (not heated). The location is set well back from any traffic and is extremely quiet and peaceful. Right at the end of the street is a lively and top quality pasticceria for great coffee and breakfast.

Cons:

This countryside property (aguritourismo) is located at the end of unsurfaced and very pot-holed road. Though it can be navigated by a regular vehicle, I recommend arriving with the benefit of daylight, as in the dark, you might think you were lost on a country road.
