Your own private oasis. Such a gorgeuous property with phenomenal staff! The staff wa so accommodating. Please realize you are at a lodge so big bugs should be expected. The montezuma oropenala birds were fantastic, the wild horses roaming around the pond breath taking and all the foliage and fresh fruit right off the trees was an unexpected treat. A phenomenal place to curl up with a good book and just enjoy nature! The food was goo and the bar will stay open as long as your hearts desire.

If you want basic but clean place to stay inside the National Parc. Just a 5 min drive from Hot springs water falls and Jungle Hickes. it's great. Nothing fancy but so peaceful great food not a big variety. Great staff.

Amazing!

I liked the dining facilities which offered a complimentary breakfast and a wide range of dinner options. The pool was nice. The receptionist/manager helped to make our stay memorable with his fluent English and enthusiasm for Costa Rican culture and his musical talents. The location is on the slopes of a volcano park where tours are available. It is about an hour’s drive from Liberia so we had an easy drive to catch our flight home.

We had the best time at this hotel. The property is absolutely stunning (if your into nature and outdoors), and the service impeccable felt very intimate and homie. I would definitely recommend staying at this property. The food was also delicious.

Such an amazing place!!!

The place was beautiful, the people were extremely nice, and the food was delicious. The room we stayed at was as expected, simple but clean. The only complaint was that some ants seemed to have snuck in and found the toilets clean water attractive. Even that wasn't too bad since the ants only did it super late at night and the owners said they would address it.

If you like birds then you'll find a handful of very interesting sounding birds living on the premises. They are quiet at night, but will be a lovely alarm clock when the sun rises.

Beautiful litle lodge of cabanas around a pound. The place needs to do some updates and renovations as some bed don't have plugs to charge phones and the wifi is only available in the bar area which is limited since there is no cell network. The included breakfast is minimal. The great thing there is the location for touring Rincon de la vieja and leona falls.

This was my favorite place in Costa Rica. The staff went above and beyond and were so friendly! The cabin we were in had a pond/lake in front and streams behind. There were hikes right beside our cabin. The food was delicious! If they have their homemade pineapple jam when you are there make sure to have it.

Driving at evening when its dark. The trails around property are great for birding just watch out for mosquitoes and yes ticks.

Absolutely love staying here! Even the drive-in from the Liberia airport was beautiful and we saw so many monkeys along the way! You are very isolated in a little rustic log cabin that backs up to the national forest. There is one restaurant on site which actually had very good food and incredibly sweet service. The property is absolutely beautiful and perfect for somebody who is low maintenance, not looking for a lot of amenities, and just wants to enjoy nature and peace. Being a Being adjacent to rincón de la vieja and near La Leona waterfalls was very convenient. Absolutely would stay here again!

The roads leading to the property are in bad shape with potholes and unpaved sections. It's better to have 4x4 to come through.
