Pros:

The owner is really a sympatic guy!
Very convenient, big common kitchen, hammock, nice view
Restaurants and stores in front (las gardenias is Great)
Big room. Amazing beds

Cons:

The shower was really bad, a thin stream of cold water, very difficult to shower, impossible to wash hair
Light on the terrace was not working so we couldn't enjoy the terrace for diner
It was cold at night and the blankets were not enough, we were freezing

Convenient departure point for Tikal and Yaxha
Pros:

Good base for exploration around Peten Itza lake, better departure point for trips to Tikal and Yaxha. The room was recently built, clean and welcoming. Comfortable beds. Communal kitchen, free filtered water, good coffee offered. Friendly owner gave us useful travel suggestions.

Cons:

No hammack installed for our room ...
The hotel is near the main road, thus noisy at times.

Alles was fantastisch. We kregen de kamer met het schitterende uitzicht op het meer. Een heerlijk groot bed met een zitgedeelte buiten.
Umberto is een hele vriendelijke man. Kamer werd elke schoongemaakt. Auto stond veilig op eigen terrein. El Remate is een leuk dorp en goede uitvalsbasis voor Tikal. Veel eetgelegenheden en supermarkten rondom het hotel. We hebben genoten van onze 3 nachten daar.

La ubicación es perfecta para ir a Tikal y hay muchos restaurantes cerca. La habitación es muy cómoda y tiene zonas comunes muy lindas y prácticas como una cocina muy funcional. La relación calidad precio es excelente. Todo muy limpio.
