Amazing staff. Great beds, very clean!
Friendly and welcoming, good value, ideally restaurant menu could have a little more choice, ideal for business short stay, nice quiet location
Very nice vomfy bed and shower water was supreme.
Great little find
The place was a bit out of the way but just fine for the price. The only problem I have is with the crummy rewards from hotels.com. I earned $1.77 or around 2% while the old rate was a standard 10% every time. I'm really not happy with the change in management at hotels.com.
The cleaners come to early ! Wake up every day between 9-10 o'clock ! :(
No complaints,Great location friendly staff, Valve for money. Really good pint of Guinness 😉
Our stay at Fernhill Lodge was made most memorable by the staff. Deborah or Debra, in particular, went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. She took the time to lead us to a bus stop about 2KM from the lodge so we could go into Cork for food. After waiting for about 20 minutes and realizing the buses weren't running, we decided to call it and return to our rooms. We asked if there was any way the restaurant would remain open for us when we got back. They happily agreed to keep the kitchen open and prepare us dinner. They definitely didn't have to do so, but that is just the kind of thoughtful people they are. Everyone on staff was very hospitable and kind. The grounds of the location were very nice. The rooms had the basics of what you would need for a decent stay.
Enjoyable one night stay, bed comfy and nice room. Breakfast provided was good
This is a nice hotel , very friendly and helpful staff. It needs updating and I was disappointed that there was no cooked breakfast as we paid extra for breakfast, it was just cereals toast tea/ coffee yogurts , boiled eggs. I would have been happier with a cooked breakfast. It’s a little off the beaten track and the price reflects this.
No real food choice, little choice of drinks. Unable to book food and drink to the room. I checked out after 1 hour and found another hotel
Helpful staff, very quite, no complaints about the beer or food
It was pleasant, nice and quite lots of nice chinese decor
We found Fernhill Lodge very welcoming and loved the surrounding views.
It had a very relaxed atmosphere.
Situated on a nice block of land with excellent views
A friend and I stayed here a couple of weeks back as we were seeing Liam Gallagher in Cork! We traveled from Southend in Essex. The staff at this gaff were top notch and although it was out of her remit one of the team drove us to the bus stop not once but twice over the weekend cos we got really pissed up the night before! Also had a good old natter with a geezer behind the bar that told us some very funny stories about the area and parties that had stayed at the hotel before us! Top bloody banana! I also didn't get attacked for wearing a bright orange jacket!
We stayed here for 2 nights. The staff could not do enough for us. They went above and beyond. We felt so very welcome throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend Fernhill lodge and we will be back
20 mins into Cork by car and 20 minute walk into closest town. Hotel serves food and drinks as well.
A bit of a nothing really except convenient for Cork airport. The room was ok but looked out over a dirty empty building within a few feet. The bar was tiny and only had draught lager & no decent wines. The menu only catered for meat eaters. I’m vegetarian so there was only a dry margarita pizza. Breakfast was self service cereal, fruit, tea &coffee and toast. Not good value for money compared to other places we’d stayed during the rest of the week.
This place looks nothing like the photos posted. It’s run down, filthy dirty and no one around. I felt so unsafe, we left immediately. Cannot imagine how they earned any stars at all.
Good place next Cork very quiet and very nice prople at reception and in the restaurant
