Cadre agréable et bien situé
Pros:

Le bâtiment semble historique mais apparemment il n'a pas de passé colonial.
Cependant le charme de la construction nous envoie dans une autre époque.
La suite familiale était confortable avec une belle vue sur la riviere.
Petit frigo, bouilloire à disposition
Les lits étaient confortable pour nous qui préférons les matelas fermes.
Des cafés, restaurants à proximites.
Pas de laverie sur places mais plein en existent autour.

Cons:

Nous arrivions (vers 10h) après des longs vols et la fatigue cumulée à la grosse chaleur du moment. Bien que la chambre était prête, ils nous on fait tenir jusqu'au l'heure du check-in - 14h avant de pouvoir y accéder.
Prévoir du temps au départ. La chambre est inspectée minutieusement avant de vous rendre votre caution. Tâches sur les,serviettes ou les taies sont susceptible de déclencher une retenue de caution.
2 moments pas spécialement agréables mais dans l'ensemble cela s'est très bien passé

The staff are very friendly and helpful
We enjoyed our stay for 5 nights

The room is spacious and the interior were very nice

There's laundry service two minutes walk and very reasonable prices

The restaurant inside is very nice and the view was amazing

Pros:

Location was perfect for walking along the river front and getting to HopOnHopOff boats, 7/11, restaurants and night life. It was also quiet and lovely to sit on the balcony to enjoy early morning coffee and hear a variety of bird songs and calls. I will stay here again on my next trip to Thailand.

Cons:

Shower area is for mountain climbers. Luckily, I am one. Not for the faint of heart.
There was nothing I did not like.

Perfect Valentine
Pros:

Beautiful restaurant at the waterfront.

The staff helped with decorating the room for Valentines which was an immense help!

Cons:

There is (as with all waterfront hotels in Bangkok) a bit of noise from the canal, with the low frequencies from boat engines sounding through. The view, location and the room made it all worthwhile.

Pros:

Beautiful room. The AC worked well. The bed was comfy. Everything was very clean. Nice view of the river and bridge (but not any buildings of note). The breakfast restaurant on the property was good but not great. The staff were very helpful. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Fijne locatie in de stad
Pros:

De locatie is erg goed. Je loopt zo naar de rivier en overal zijn leuke koffie en ontbijt plekjes. De kamer was ruim met een leuk balkon. Het hotel ligt aan de rivier.

Cons:

Ik heb er prima geslapen en ben tevreden. Personeel was erg aardig, de kamer netjes en schoon.

The Grand Hiranyakul

Vantage point for photographing from on top floor.

I didn’t like the way the property has portrayed its’ accommodation and facilities in the images used on this platform. The hotel, while upon first glance, may appear to be cast by Wes Anderson - trade crisp mountain air for Bangkok riverside haze - sadly missing the aesthetic mark.

The grandeur of the 1990’s have long surged downstream, leaving behind creaky hallways and rattling panels of glass in wooden window frames. I actually regret not having visited sooner.

Speaking purely from a professional perspective, that is, photographing the inside and outside of hotels and villas in Greece and elsewhere in a Europe: very well edited images, that camouflage, or omit the less-than-perfect areas of the premises, and almost deceptively over-expose the poorly and unevenly-lit room(s).

The proximity to the adjacent canal/river-runoff could irritate some; I was more concerned about the plumbing. 🪠.

Mooi authentiek hotel in oude centrum, prima verblijf om Bangkokte verkennen
Pros:

Mooie locatie in het oude centrum aan de rivier. Goed parkeren met de auto. Ruime kamer met mooi uitzicht

Cons:

In de nacht veel geluid op de kamer door luidruchtige dieselboten op de rivier. Jammer dat de buren een betonnen woontoren hebben gebouwd.
