I like the location, it’s so out of nowhere and peaceful but comfortable.
Maybe the price for activities. Maybe a package for activities and stay would be a good thing for families
The breakfast is outstanding, it’s a wonderful pool area, everything is clean, and the staff is pleasant.
The beds are not comfortable
Very clean, Nice hotel, great restaurant, very helpful staff, cool pool
Pillows are very flat, walls are thin
We booked on the Bonvoy app, and was prompted to please start the check in process on the app to make things easier when we arrive; so I did. We used points, and only needed to provide a card for the incidental hold fee. When we arrived, I asked to change the credit card on file to a different card. I was told there were two cards on my reservation, one with my name, and one with the name "*** ***", did I want to use the other one? The name she gave was a name I never heard of and was not associated with my reservation. I told her that, she said "that's strange, ok, I'll remove it" and she took the card I wanted to use. Then we got our keys and went to our room (#108). Upon opening our door, there were suitcases and clothes on the beds. I immediately shut the door and went back to the front desk. While they were trying to figure out who was checked in to our room, a man came to the front desk to say his key wasn't working anymore...when asked what room he was in...you guessed it #108. So they had both of us in the same room. They moved him to another room, and then asked him how long he needed to clear the room so we could enter!! UM HELLO!! I don't want to stay in a dirty room that someone else has already been in!! One of the girls at the desk told the other girl that, and they found us a new room. About 830pm we decided to watch TV; our remote control to the TV wouldn't work. I took it down to the front desk and the girl said, "oh, let me change the batteries". I went back to my room, the remote still didn't work. I went back to the front desk, she said, "let me give you a different remote, call me if it still doesn't work and I'll have someone come to your room". Well...it still didn't work (must have been the TV), and I picked up the phone to call to tell her, and the phone didn't work!! So I went back down to the front desk, told her it still didn't work, but forget it, we were going to the pool." she said "what are you guys in town for?" I said we're just traveling through on our way to Minnesota, we'll be leaving in the morning to get back on the road". She said hold on... and then came back with coupons for a free scoop of ice cream a the gas station next door. wow. just wow. So, all of this crap, and you're going to give me a free scoop of gas station ice cream at 830 at night...needless to say we didn't us it...it was too late for ice cream, and we were not going to have ice cream for breakfast. The pool was so cloudy you couldn't see to the bottom. Hotel and rooms were average, beds not extremely comfortable, but comparable to other Fairfield Inns. I would NOT recommend staying here, and feel the staff didn't care enough to rectify the issues we had, which were significant, not even an apology...just free gas station ice cream. Horrible.
It was a nice bed
The rooms were not very sound proof. I could hear stomping and doors slamming all night. The odor outside was expected, but I didn't expect to smell it in my room.
This hotel is located next door to the Fair Oaks Farm. The hotel has a wonderful pool area for the kiddos. The hotel itself is just 'okay' in that it is a typical hotel - two queen beds, a bathroom and not very big. We did sleep well though - it's very quiet and in a rural area. It is the only place there to stay if you want to visit the Farm and not have to drive a ways to get there.
Beautiful grounds, walked the dog on trails. Restaurant was very good.
This has become one of our favorite places to stay, and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back.
The rooms are always spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. You can tell the staff takes great pride in making sure every guest has a wonderful experience.
One of the best parts of staying here is everything the property has to offer. The restaurant is fantastic, the Milkshed ice cream shop is a must-visit, the Say Cheese tasting room is a fun experience, and having a full farm on the property makes it truly unique. Knowing that the food is either grown right on the farm or sourced from nearby local farms makes every meal even better.
One of the things we love most is the location. The hotel is truly in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by beautiful farmland and peaceful country views. If you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, the quiet scenery and endless farm views make it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We didn't get a chance to explore the entire property this trip, but everything we did see was absolutely beautiful.
The amenities are another reason we keep returning. The pool area is fantastic, especially for families with kids. The waterslide and splash area provide hours of fun, and there's plenty of space to relax. There's also a well-equipped fitness center, making it easy to keep up with your workout routine while you're away.
The people are what truly make this place exceptional. Brittany is an outstanding manager who goes above and beyond for guests. She was amazing when she managed the restaurant, and she continues to set the standard for outstanding hospitality. Geri at the front desk was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
A special thank you to Crissy in the restaurant and bar—she is, without question, our favorite bartender and server. She is always friendly, attentive, and makes every visit so enjoyable. We genuinely look forward to seeing her each time we come.
Jeanette in the Say Cheese tasting room absolutely made our day. She was warm, knowledgeable, and so much fun to talk with. We just loved, loved, loved her!
We also want to recognize the younger staff members at the Milkshed and the Say Cheese restaurant. They were fun, polite, respectful, and genuinely friendly. Every interaction we had with the staff was positive, and it really shows the great culture that's been created here.
Considering everything this property has to offer—the beautiful accommodations, farm-to-table dining, multiple restaurants, ice cream shop, cheese tasting room, pool with a waterslide and splash area, fitness center, peaceful country setting, and incredible staff—it is an outstanding value. You truly get so much more than just a hotel stay; you get an experience.
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with outstanding food, exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and people who truly care about their guests, this is the place. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with friends, or bringing the whole family, we highly recommend staying here. We can't wait to come back!
